Most productive bass lure type ?

Featured Replies

I say the plastic worm. What about you guys?

Depends on the season, but for most of the year in the lakes I fish...plastic does the job.

During fall and prespawn, though...I will only be throwing crankbaits and spinnerbaits and pound the shoreline.  When the time is right and with the right technique, cranks/spinnerbaits will outproduce a softbait.  Just my opinion... ;)

Strike King Z-Too or Fluke. Might not be best for lunkers but something will always hit these.

No doubt soft plastics and jigs have accounted for the most big fish caught over the years. With the growing number of swimbait aficionados, that may be changing.

If it's numbers your after, the 5" Senko rules.

8-)

soft plastics

T-Rig Senko, no doubt.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....I love this stuff.

Soft plastic is a material not a lure type.

For example, cricket imitations and some swimbaits are both made from soft plastic yet no one with any sense would consider them to be the same lure type.

So I will say plastic worms are the most productive, with jigs running a close second.

When I say soft plastics I mean worms, lizards, creatures, frogs, etc.

I guess if I had to pick one soft plastic it would be the worm though.  And I agree with RW, 5" senko takes the cake if you're going for numbers.

Over all, through the years, the plastic worms are supreme !!
