Finally got my pictures off my camera which got ruined.

Hooked this guy and finally thought I had my double digit largemouth.

Anyway, great fight in 3 feet of water. I know Big-O wanted to catch one of these almost as much as a 6lb. Smallie.

Here's some from Saturday in 30 MPH winds and rain:

Why do I get the feeling that this same setup is going to be used on Hamlin Lake's North Bayou sometime this spring? That is if you can ever get Kelley moved in! B)

Ya know it, in Summer Craw. Better yet out in front of the Boy Scout Camp in the deeper weeds.

OK, this is the goto bait.

The fish can't keep from eating it.

Be sure to drag it, don't hop it.

Steez-

Clean out your P.M box. Tried to send P.M. but didn't get through.

OK I've pruned my PM box.

The prune still has pits, tried sending you a couple also either your box is full or there is another problem, Bud.

Just a note the Ky and Barkley lakes are going into another major flood. Possibly highest of all time!!! Imagine what you were fishing and a about 14 feet! I'll try to get some pictures of the flooding.

Pictures will be easy.....it's our front yard. Yep, be glad you were here last week. We're had numerous tornadoes and 12 inches of rain since last Friday!!!

Think I'm glad I'm headed to South Carolina for a week to fish Lake Hartwell!

Keep safe Deb, I live where the Green River meets the Ohio river. The Ohio is about 3 miles wide now and barges can not go under bridges.

For those that went to the roadtrip here is a link the "the Moor's" cam of the boat ramp. Check it over the next few days and watch the lake rise.

I hope all you folks down in that part of the country stay safe and as dry as possible.

TVA website says they are going to restrict outflow the next couple of days? If that isn't a typo, the people in the cabin we stayed in are going to be fishing from the porch!

Man, I was saying the whole trip if only there was another foot or two of water, there would be a ton of good stuff in good water, not 6 inches. Guess I got my wish in spades. When it starts to drop back down I bet the lake will be on fire. Big-O will probably make a trip to do some flippin. :D

Be safe all.

I swear that picture does no justice to how big that drum was!

I called Birdman78, Simp's dad, to check up on him. He is currently living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Fortunately, after leaving Ky Lake, he went to Simp's home in Illinois for a few days. He will be calling the 'bama State Police to see if it will be possible for him to return to where he had been living.

He has a video with his running commentary of me catching the four and a quarter pound smallmouth. He's supposed to send it to me. Hard for me to see it on his cell phone display. It includes me getting in my "landing chair" to lip the fish. The landing chair being the passenger seat on the port side of the boat. Sit down, bring the fish to the boat, reach over the side and lip the fish, all while seated.

Just like I do it in my canoe.
