I know it's c-c-cold up North....but Stick Marsh is SIZZLIN' Baby!!!

Featured Replies

Well, folks I know you must be tired of hearing about YET ANOTHER 80 degree day down here in florida, but hold on to your hats boys and girls.....the balmy weather is the LEAST of it.

SteveP and Avid ventured out onto the fabled Stickmarsh/Farm13 and had one hail of a holaciiuos day.

We caught 49 bass with Avid's biggun going 7 lbs and SteveP landing a dead on certified boga bass of 10.5 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o!!!!!!!!!

The original bill lewis ratLtrap was, one again the star lure of the day.  It was soooooooooo good, that SteveP's once laughed at (by Avid of course) prediction that we would soon be shaking off 3 lbers so as not to waste time going after the REAL bass was to be a prophetic truth.

As usual the hours of laughter made for sore bellies, but this was totally eclipsed by sore shoulders.

Enjoy.

First pic is of a chunky 3 lber that Avid caught on a jig n beaver.  Not so noteworthy except for the jig part.  Most Florida guys rarely fish jigs.

Here's Steve with the first bass that SteveP would let Avid photgraph.

notice the misty morning fog has not quite burned off yet.  We sorta suspected we chose a good day to be on the marsh.

Things got even more interesting when Avid landed this beautiful Stick Marsh 7 lber.

About now is when I would post a pic of one of the several fatty doubles we had, but Roadwarrior was so mean to me the last time I posted a doubles pic, that I am way to traumatized because he was such a frozen wienie.

so I'll talk some more....

we ran into a friend of SteveP's on the lake... and the jokes got raunchier and funnier.  I promised I would not reveal the secret identity of this marsh maven but "he who shall not be named" added even more fun to this incredible day.

and now without further ado, may I present (drumrollllllllllllllllllllll)

Mr. SteveP and the amazing 10 lb. 8 oz Stick marsh/Farm13 (per not one but TWO certified boga scales) Florida Largemouth bass....

Question:  Why would the BassResource.com member stay up North freezing his/her butt off when they could be in Florida catching 50 bass up to 10 and a half pounds?

Answer:  Beats the hellll outta me  8-)

Why don't you guys get jobs?  I hear the Walmart is looking for a new greeter.  With your stylish glasses and charming personality you should fit right in. ;D

Now the boy (looking over my shoulder at the hawgs) is demanding an excursion to the Farm...The things we do to make our children happy.

Congrats you two. Glad you had a good time and caught some nice fish :)
