Featured Replies

Caught my personal record friday on a lipless crank . I was fishing some shallow rocks with deep water nearby when this 22.5 incher inhaled my bait. . It happend about 2:45 on a small northern Illinois lake. What would you guess this fish weighed?

Fish was released!

I'm sure this will be moved to the fishing trip section, but my guess is 6.3lb. Regardless, great fish!

With an actual measurement, and the photo showing body condition, we can good guess. It should have weighed in the 6lb range, probably mid to upper. It probably did not hit 7lbs.

Very nice--make that BIG--northern LM. Congrats!

Eyeballing it I say 6.5 lbs ish.

Tough to say, but a great fish regardless.  Esp in nothern illinois.

Nice fish, congrats!  8-)

My guess: 6.5-7lbs.

The fish in my avitar was the same length it was caught in july post spawn and weighed 6lbs 9oz on an xtools dig scale. in the STL MO area. I would say that yours is pre spawn and probably weighed in at more than this. hope that helps... so I would call it at least 6 and a half. caught a 21 inchish fish that was weighed in at a tourny 3 weeks later at 6lbs .02oz

My guess would be 7.1 pounds
