pros

Does anyone have a favorite pro that they follow? If so why? Just wondering.

I don't really follow just one guy but I do follow BASS and FLW. I like to jig fish alot so I'll pay more attention to what Brauer and Biffle and Klein may say versus another pro that may not be known for jig fishing.

I have much respect for Rick Clunn. He is the definition of consistency at a high level.

Gotta love denny brauer

Of the few that I got to know last year and fish with, young  Anthony Gagliardi was a great draw. He fishes very well both deep and shallow, remains very calm and confident, studies (prefishes) intelligently, is a master of all techniques, and if you'll check his winnings, has done quite well.  He came close to cashing the $500,000 check at the FLW championship.

I enjoy reading about Kevin Van Dam. He grew up fishing in Michigan, spending a lot of time fishing for smallies on rivers, something that I do as a religion. I also like his sponsor's products and I use them on nearly every outing.

all-time best known jig fisherman Denny Brauer

I love the Strike King Pro-Model jig, which is his #1 jig, as is mine. When the jig bite is hot you know he will be up there.

gota go with Clunn, I have followed his career since the beginning, I've had the pleasure to meet him along with several others and him and Hank parker were by for the nicest. We talked up at Guntersville back in '89 for a hour, great guys.

tight lines

Danny

I would have to say Iaconelli and Vandam.  Even though Iaconelli is crazy alot he really seems to know his stuff and I like some of the articles I have read by him he is very good at explaining things.  I like Vandam because he is just a flat out good fishermen he has a lot of good tips that he gives out on TV.

Mike Long

all he does is catch huge bass. Every year he has few over 15lbs

I have two denny brauerand kevin vandam they both helped me improve my catch ratio

Mark Davis and David Fritz

My favorites are the ones that go more in depth on techniques and lure presentation such a Denny Brauer, Hank Parker and Bill Dance. As for as the pro tour is concerned Van Dam is consistantly at the top and I like Greg Hackney who seems to be rising quickly.

There are really three that I keep tabs on, for different reasons.  Denny Brauer because I have spent time on the Lake of the Ozarks (in Denny's hometown) and just find that he is cool.  Rick Clunn, I have read a lot about him and think of him as the Zen Master of Bass fisin.  And Gerald Swindle -- several years ago I was watching an FLW tournament on Gerald's home lake.  He wanted to fish back in a creek that had been blocked off by a fallen tree.  He reached down in his boat and pulled up a Poulan chainsaw (one of his sponsors) and cut the tree to get back into the creek and won the tournament -- Now that's a fisherman!!

Gerald Swindle, I like how aggressive he is.

Gerald swindle and denny brauer because swindle is a lighthearted guy who like to kid around when he fishes and denny brauer because he is my fishing idol

I follow Mike Iaconelli, I like to see a pro thats from so far north (new jersey)  do well. Most Pros grow up in the the south with the unfreezing lakes.

I think Greg Hackney was really good this year, he seemed to be really consistent.

Gerald Swindle is my favorite power angler and Denny Brauer is my favorite finess angler

I like Kevin Van Dam because he seems to have a good balance between thought and talent. He has really studied and knows his quary. He's a very meticulous angler.

I like Skeet Reese because of his style and he's out there representing for the West Coast. I also like Greg Hackney because of his consistency and becuase he's one of the younger and newer guys.

If I had a favourite pro to follow, it would have to be Bassresource's very own J.T. Bagwell!   He seems alright .... for a yankee.

lol Thanks

pssst - Jeremy uses the term "Pro" rather loosely.   ;D

JT Bagwell

I have two favorite anglers Luke Clausen because he's my home state boy. And Bink Desaro because he fishing my dream. Trying to beat Denny Brauer. Those are my favorite pros though. My favorite angler is Jeff Boyer. Since he's been to the classic 3 times and I've met him. Good job at the classic BOYER!

Kevin Van Dam is my favorite. Flippin' and Pitchin' Master. 8)
