Featured Replies

My mom said she saw on the news that Iaconelli is coming out with a movie i beleave she said it will be based on his book has anybody else heard about this?

I heard about it this past winter. I really don't know munch.

Good for him, but a feature length movie of screamin' mimi?  I'll pass.

I just wonder if they will be able to sign Ben Stiller or Chris Katan to plat the role as Ike? ;D

I think I will be busy when it is showing.

Ben Stiller would be perfect in the role of Ike.  ;D

This has got to be a joke.......Of all people in fishing to make a movie about, He isnt a legend yet in fishing, but I have heard he was a world champion breakdancer ;D

No joke, I think he's playing the role of BASS Federation angler Brian Kerchieval.

Just remember what Tom Cruise and "Days of Thunder" did for Nascar.

You never know what sponsors might come into the sport with a good box office hit.

Matt.

I'd like to see it.  I'm sure it won't be an hour and a half of him screaming at fish getting off or getting in the boat.  The book was really well put together and educational and I'd like to think the movie will be too.

If they are going to make a movie, they should make it about Kerchal. That is an inspiring story with an all too tragic ending.

Ike is a tragic ending all unto himself...one of these days I hope he falls off the boat.

if they wanted to make a good, inspirational move they would make it about kerchal but since they want to sell movie tickets they prob. made the right choice.  too bad though.  in the book his rise through the federation and drive were inspiring but the rest of the book i could do without.  hearing about the mickael iaconneli "brand" made me want to vomit.  i dont know that book just didnt do much for ike in my view and actually made it seem more likely that he is more often than not playing for the cameras these days.

i mean really i get excited when i fish and sometimes think a fish is gonna be bigger than it is but ikes spent 100x the time on the water i have and he really cant ever tell the difference between a 2 lber and a 10 lber.  i have a hard time believing it.

I HOPE IT'S A SILENT MOVIE. I COULDN'T STAND LISTENING TO HIS INCESSANT SCREAMING AND "IT'S A GIANT".

IF I WANT TO HEAR SCREAMING, OR SEE A KID HAVE A TEMPER TANTRUM I'LL WATCH MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR'S SON.......IT'S FREE.

DON'T GET ME WRONG, HE'S A GREAT FISHERMAN. I JUST CAN'T STAND THE GUY AND HIS ANTICS.

AS HAS BEEN SAID, IF THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE AN INSPRATIONAL MOVIE IT SHOULD BE ABOUT BRIAN KERCHAL.

Let's be honest here folks. A movie about fishing isn't even going to make it to the box office. I'll be surprised if it does anyway. Straight to DVD. I agree that it would be great if it did...would be good for the sport. But in all likelyhood, if it's a movie, it'll go straight to DVD. If it's a TV series, I doubt any major network will carry it...FOX is developing it and there is no way it end up on their network...at best it'll end up on one of FOX's sports channels...ex. fox sports midwest. Why would I wanna go see a movie about fishing anyway...I'd rather GO OUT and ACTUALLY FISH. Just my .02 cents.

Agreed ^

Not too much interest with the average movie goer. I would watch it but I know hundreds of people and only a couple of them even bass fish at all let alone have interest in watching a movie about it.

Maybe it's different in some parts of the country but probably not in most in my opinion.
