Walmart Fishing Lures On Clearance

Featured Replies

NONE OF THESE WERE OVER $2.50, SCOUTS HONOR!!!!

That's what I NEED to tell the wife! And to think the wife sent me there to buy milk...Gotta MAN UP & tell her that I "spent" a "little" more than groceries...this is going to be a little "uncomfortable"...I "hope" she understands that all these lures were over half off...oh this is going to be "uncomfortable"...I don't believe in the bait monkey, I own up to bad judgement & walking inside Walmart when they have fishing stuff on clearance!  ;)

Man, what a deal.  the local Wal-Mart here wouldn't know a Norman lure if it bit them in the keister.

Wife and I have a private joke - "It's not a real date unless we end it by going to Walmart".  I guess we are just getting old and boring.  Anyway last Friday night found me at the fishing section in Walmart and it happened to me to.  The baitmonkey was there waiting on me.  When I die she can have a yard sale and sell my unused, unopened  lures for a small fortune.

Most of this stuff I wouldn't have bought even if I've seen them on the shelves cuz how much they really are, but at $0.75-2.50 ea; what fisherman in their right mind would pass up deals like this???

Make sure to check all your local walmarts too!

One walmart close to me has termintor, strikeking and a bunch of other brand spinnerbaits for $1-2.50.  While another one 5-10miles away had the same for $2-$3.

Couple years back the ladyfish were running and when that happens you get hookup on nearly every cast.  The ladyfish absolutely destroy lures and I was going thru many xraps a day.  I went to walmart and bought a bass lure called a renegade for $1.50 and it just killed them, caught every other species as well on that lure.  I've used it for largemouth and worked just fine, slightly larger than #10 xrap and great casting distance as well.  I still use them, walmart bumped the price to $2,50.

x2. I've bought 'em, replaced the hooks, tune 'em up & they work great, I throw them often when I don't know what the structure is like. Snook, sorry to hear they are $2.50 down there - been $1/each here for years. ;)

After the trebles get mangled I replace them with saltwater hooks.  Have bought other walmart cheapies and catch fish with them as well.

I never had a fish ask me how much I spent on my tackle or gear., lol.

BTW I read post spinning vs casting and totally agreed with you.

Is that all you got?

Just kidding.

You did good.

As I tell my wife, when you see it, buy it.

For if you don't buy it when you see it, it will be gone when you go back.

The Bait Monkey is proud of you.  ;D

I absolutely swore not to buy any lures this year. Then I walked in walmart today, did good though and only spent 10$, 2 spinners and 2 cranks. I did however get a 10$ gift card when I purchased my turbo tax. Dang monkey wants me to go back and spend that on some more spinners, probably will as you can never have two many spinnerbaits. Also in the Classic edition of Bass Times saw an article about how tackle purchases help support our fisheries. Dang monkey is everywhere. ;)

The walmart here sells junk!!!  But if you want to go catch some trout, which I only do through the the ice, they have an unbelievable assortment of jars of power bait.

I just scored on a bunch of their stuff as well. X-raps were only 3.50!!!! ;)

d**n! thats a good price

Great buy Ghost! I'm lucky when it comes to my better half - she's worse than I am when it comes to new baits. No kidding! When we go to BPS, she's down every aisle, sometimes on her hands and knees going through stuff. We joke that BPS roles out the red carpet when she gets to the door! ;D

Lucky man - does she have a sister?   ;)

LOL - yeah, but she's not at all into fishin.

I was at Walmart today and picked up some Mizmo tubes for $2.50, some SK bitsy jigs for $1.67 and 2 spools of Yozuri Hybrd 600yrds for $3.00 each!

My walmart did not have to much on Clearance. Only specific colors of lures were on clearance so that sucked  ;) The best deal I got was Powerbait shaky worms for $1.50 a pack. I picked up two of those.

Yep I have 7or8 of those Renegade cranks I picked up for $ 1.50. I got them with the silver body black top purple on the head. Im new to crankin except with r traps so I bought these figurin Ill throw them more into cover without worring about losin um . T Threw a few of them for practice in clear water to see how they worked. Man they seemed to run true and it was a blast kickum off rocks/looked awesome and cast great. Cant wait to try um and see how they do compared to the standards. Wonder how they would do on a topwater bite since they float right up and just pop them with that squared bill. Squared head looks like a little frog. 8-)
