OK guys, a bunch of us put down goals for 08 (go back to page 30 something). How are ya'll doing.  I received my invite to the ABA regionals in the mail today to complete my 4 goals.

The power of writing down goals never ceases to amaze me..

catch 5 fish over 5 lbs in a day - check.

get my nephew to listen to me when I'm teaching him how to fish - check. (finally)

join a local bass club - arghh!!! (no response yet from them)

You're right...writing down goals is amazing and they will be realized much quicker in doing this, imo. good point!

5. Fish from a boat

6. Relax and enjoy life a little

1.Catch a bass over 10lbs (failed... SO far)

2.Figure out summer time Bass (failed ... SO far)

3.Catch more than 20 bass in a day (accomplished many times)

4.Catch a Peacock bass over 5lbs (failed.... SO far)

Im not doing so well.. I guess i need to start fishing more than once every 2 weeks to start realizing these goals.

In years past I set a goal to catch a new PB...and I've failed.

This year my only goal was to take the kids fishing more and enjoy my time on the water. So far, so good.

As a lucky bonus, I was also able to catch a new PB. Go figure.

FishinDaddy,  My goal is to fish without an agenda, other than enjoy the adventure while testing new soft plastic designs. Spend more time on the water with my Grandchildren without an agenda, other than listen to them laugh  And to live every day without an agenda, and only do things that I love to do.

Other stuff has a habit of trying to come around and get me off track, "but it's not on my agenda"!   :)

Big O,  I was not saying you had to have an agenda, just following up on a thread from the beginning of the year.  One of my goals was to spend 100 days on the water.  51 days so far with only 6 of those days without my Wife, Kids or both.  I bought the boat hoping to spend more quality time with my teenagers.  So far, it has worked.

I'm with ya FishinDaddy, and you have my admiration because at your age, you realize the importance of Family and Happiness. Also at your age with your busy schedules, you're plan is to make sure that you are giving ample quality time to your passions and priorities.  The goals written down is a great idea. Keep up the good work.   ;)

With a new house for Momma, the Ole Catt just about done remodeling it & hurting more than ever, my fishing is dead for now!

My goals for this year have changed throughout the year... but one thing I really still want accomplish is to master a jig and deep diving cranks.

But my goal is to at least catch a DD but so far not so good 8-)
