The poll is getting a lot of looks but not many people voting. Only 16 votes saying they are coming, will be a great trip with some great people. I know its early but a little disappointing not seeing a lot more votes to go to Pickwick

It'll pick up when it gets closer.

The road trip attendees have roughly doubled in number every year.  This year we were hoping for around a hundred attendees.  With the economy the way it is, and with so little response to this poll, I figure this year we'll be lucky to have forty people.  That's about twenty less than we had last year.  I'm greatly disappointed, but not surprised.

That sucks there won't be that many people, But we'll still have a good time.

I realize the plan is to grow this into something big, but I'm not all that upset if it were to stay the size of the Guntersville or Kentucky Lake trip.  Pretty sure I am not alone in that sentiment, but I respect the other thoughts on the trip as well.

JMHO.

I will be there. I am new to the board and I am looking forward to my first board tournament!!

Hope you do make it, you'll meet a lot of great people.  Just to clarify though, this isn't  tournament.  It's just a get together with a bunch of guys/gals fishing and eatin' and fishin' and BSing and fishing and.....you get the picture.  Last year was my first and I got  a warm fuzzy feeling almost immediately; and it wasn't from Mike's stash either. ;D

I got that warm fuzzy feeling too seeing Kentucky Lake and feeling the first fish when folks back home in Seattle were still scraping off the frost!!

This time it will be a month later and the fish will be ON FIRE!!

That's what I'm hoping for.  The temps last year were so wishywashy.

oops, sorry, I meant I was looking forward to my first warm and fuzzy board hootenanny!!

Im registered and paid up for everything.

Wouldn't miss it for anything.

Mike. You know I'll be there. Mary too. Just not for the entire trip. We'll be leaving either Monday evening or Tuesday afternoon.

Whoa there, seeing how he is coming with his wife, maybe he has a promise. You would not want to be responsible for not allowing a man to have his promise now would ya?

:-?

Hey Mike,

When I first saw your poll, the second option at a first glance appeared to say you were trying to get your Depends on.

Tom, I have no problem getting my Depends on.  I just lay down, raise my legs and the wife pins them on for me.  Too much information?

No that's fine.  Just don't post a video of it.

I had a full truck with four of us going to Pickwick. One cannot make it, so there is an empty seat for anyone wanting a ride and is willing to share expenses for gasoline, and do some driving.

Leaving MA mid morning on May 1. Hoping to arrive at Pickwick no later than daybreak on Sunday the 2nd.

Anyone that wants to join us is welcome. The route is from Westport, MA, I-195 to I-95 south, to the NJ Turnpike. Rte 78 off the pike at Newark through NJ and PA to I-81 south, to I-40 west, and on to Pickwick. Anyone that wants to drive to my home from northern New England, or someone who wants to join us along the way is welcome.

Be advised, it will be a Banzai run with stops for visitor centers, food and fuel as needed.

If interested, you can send me a pm.

I want to maintain visibility on the thread.  This post will kick it back up;

I would love to be able to come, but I am a senior in high school that plays baseball. Our team has three games the week of the trip. This is my final year and I don't want to miss any of it. Plus being a team captain, the team will be counting on me to be at every practice and game.

Sorry you can't make it VABassFisher.  On to bigger and better things for you.

Just a reminder to other potential posters, if you can't make the trip there is no need to respond to this poll.

Your poll doesn't include the dancing girls!
