As a couple people have already stated, the best part of this trip is meeting guys from the site and getting some fun fishing in. The speakers, and pro's and all the other stuff is not nearly as important, just some extra good stuff.

For the people on the fence, it should not be as expensive as you would think. Sharing cabin/room expenses help immensely. The cabin are only 120 to 130 a night depending on weekend or weekday. Split 4 ways that is cheap. At this point I still have at least 2 extra spaces in my cabin.

Even a room for two is cheap accomodations. Eighty something bucks per night for two beds equals out to just over forty bucks for the accomodations per night, per person.

You've still got to eat at home. So food is not a major factor. Heck, most fishermen I know are content with some cold cuts, cheese (should I have said that), and even peanut butter and jelly to make sandwiches.

If the food joints are typical of the south of the Mason Dixon line variety, it will cost almost as much to eat at home as it does to eat out in them.

I figure that registration, accomodations, and fuel is going to cost about four hundred bucks with two to four sharing the fuel expenses. According to Mapquest, I've got a round trip of 2500 miles.

We will be making a Banzai run, going and coming. Figuring food at fifty bucks per day, which is plenty high brings the total to about 700 dollars. Fishing license a bit more, plus what you kick in to help with boat fuel.

And, if you take out the three hundred for grub, you are looking at the net cost to be four to five hundred dollars.

As they say, "You can't beat that with a stick."

One question which has been answered, but to be sure, is the Tennessee license the one to get just in case we venture below the dam?  Will it cover all possibilities?

This is a rough year for everyone in business for themselves, I took alot of hits last year and still have been trying to catch myself up from it, so I can see why alot of people are not going to go. What money they do have sits in the bank for another rainy day.

d**n, it's too bad. I have a nice little egg saved up and was planning on heading down last minute. But with the lack of people and I can't find a rental place I guess not. Was looking forward to meeting people. I will just use it for next years trip.  :'(

Thanks guys, I really wanted to but I would rather just wait until next year and use the money then. Working on moving out and a new truck while still in school so if I have to choose between this year and next year I would take next years. Hopefully more people will be there and it will be a little closer so I can bring a boat and not have to fly. Also, I love smallies, but not post-spawn beat up ones. So if I have to take the week off and spend the money on a trip, I will just hope for next year. Have fun guys 

Tin, next year I think is gonna be huge!  This has been a bad year for everyone, but I for one will not be missing two in a row and I would bet that anyone missing this year will try doubly hard for next.  If you could make it this year it would be time and money well spent to meet this crew.
