Do fish ever sleep? Does anything besides color selection change at night?

Thanks,

Carlos

No & no color does not change ;)

I generally use a bleeding black/red buzzbait, and dark green, black senkos as well as watermelon red baby brush hogs.

Black Jitterbug - 5/8oz

This^.

I've got a Jitterbug that's probably 30 years old. It was originally yellow but I painted it black. It's been re-painted several times now, and once again it's showing specks of yellow from the hits that it's taken. I've caught hundreds of bass on that lure.

Tom

Black/blue stan sloan zorro spinnerbait single colorado with a JUMBO uncle josh black pork trailer, 12" tx rigged black BPS squirmin super worm. 12" c rigged junebug BPS worm, black jitterbug.

Topwater- Jitterbug

Bottom- RT Anaconda

Seems like that combo is all they want now  ;)

Black Jitterbug - 5/8oz

Its about the only topwater I ever throw anymore.

Black Jitterbug - 5/8oz

Same here. Especially effective at dusk over shallow flats.

Large black Jitterbugs and heavy black spinnerbaits with the largest red single Colorado blade that I can get away with, just as long as the lure still runs true. I sometimes shrink-tube jig rattles to the wire arm near the blade to really make a ruckus.

Black/Blue single blade colorado spinners, black ribbit frogs, black jitterbug.

I keep it simple at night. I'd say 90%+ of my night fishing is done with the following.

5/8 spinnerbait I pour myself or a 5/8 Stan Sloan Aggravator (both single spins) with a black/blue/purple or black/purple skirt and a #11 Uncle Josh Pork Frog (blue) trailer.

T-rigged 6" Gator Tail type worm (black w/pearl blue tail), Zoom Brush Hog (black/red glitter), or an 8" Mann's Jelly worm (black)

1/2 Jig - Black/Blue/Purple skirt with 5" grub (sapphire blue or junebug)

If I'm night fishing an area with a lot of vegetation and wood cover mixed, my favorite lure is a black 1/2 oz. Johnson Silver Minnow with a black rubber spinnerbait skirt. I remove the inline spinner from a Snagless Sally and attach it to the spoon. Comes through the heaviest cover and will draw strikes from some hellacious sized bass at night.

War eagle night spinnerbait right out of the box.  War eagle Black/Blue 1/2 or 3/8 jig tipped with Jewel blue salty twin tail. Most any large deep red texas riggged worm. Works on my clear lake anyway.
