Fishing license

Featured Replies

I do mine on online because I can print up 6 in case I lose one or gets damaged. One in each car, one in the tackle box, and one at the lake house.

Old farts need a license in Massachusetts, but it's free for residents 70 or older.  Discounted rates start at 65.

Get mine at the town hall.  Only five minutes away.

Old farts don't need a license in Florida.

It sounds like Florida is missing a major source of  income considering the disproportionate number of flatulent senior citizens. ;)

I still get mine the old fashioned way-WalMart.

i bought mine online last year. i like it because if i happen to lose it i can print out another one, or print out multiple ones from the get go

I buy mine online and save a copy of the license on the 'puter so I can make copies as needed. I keep one in every tackle box, my fly fishing vest, car, truck, desk, etc.

Never know when I may get the urge to grab a single rod and a pack of plastics and hit the local pond, so I want to make sure I'm covered.  ;)

It's also the first thing I do when the family and I head out on vacation. I hit the Fish & Game dpt. site for wherever we're going and buy my license online. That way I can do the same thing with the multiple copies of my temp license.

Exactly why I like buying them online. Riding around in a different state looking for a place to get a license and then hoping they're open is for the birds. A lot of places don't open until 8 - 9 am and I like to be on the water hours before that.

I get mine at Gander Mtn... It's one of the few times i have a legit reason to go. And while you are already there why not breeze by the fishing stuff and see how fast you can spend $50.   Its a fun little game.

tend to get mine on Bass Pro Shop on Jan 2nd to get more lures and get points :)

X3 - that's what I do before leaving TN to visit family in Florida - very convenient.

How much do you pay for a lifetime license?

Used to get mine at Wally World.  Now I go online and print it - so easy.

I have the lifetime for TN.  Being in Memphis I usually need a Mississippi and an Arkansas most years too, get those online.

A 5 year freshwater is $79 plus $5 for a hard card (credit card style) and I buy them online.  The wife and I both have the hard cards.

Usually at walmart or a local bait shop. In Alabama, they all expire on August 31st I think. It use to be a year from when you purchased them.

i do mine online...alot easier/faster for me.

Like a lot of other comments I always order mine online. It's convenient, quick and I get a copy I can print out again in case I ever lose it.

The only downside is they always have options for small donations to the F&W dept, subscriptions to state sports magazines, etc...and I usually end up paying a bit more for the license  ;D

I get mine at my local tackle store,
