CAROLINA RIG a BABBY BRUSH HOG in 5 ft+ water's an any color babby brush hog that fits the water right......  or a shakey head rig....

Tubes and senkos however deep they're biting.

Tubes, tubes, tubes. Depth? It depends so greatly and the variables are so wide that time on the water is going to tell you that. Its something you have to learn on your own depending on where you fish, via a river or lake, night or day.

Well, besides live bait, tubes are my most productive baits, but grubs and GYCG Single Tail Hula Grubs are other choices you should use on occasion. In still water the Fat Ika rules. And although soft plastics are my "most productive" artificials, my "favorite" is a suspending jerkbait, hands down. In low light conditions I also recommend the full size Zara Spook and/ or Lucky Craft Sammy.

Single/dbl hula grubs on a jighead or trigged dragged over the bottom.  I also like a splitshot 4" lizard or a slowrolled spinnerbait as well.

my most productive lures are probably 1.) dropshot 2.) hula grub 3.) senko.

but my favorite baits are hands down cranks & rat-l-traps.

Right on.

Most productive would probably be a GYCB hula grub on a jighead, but I love it when they'll smash a crankbait...

Wacky worm Senkos or Senko-like worms

For shallow smallies I like the manns minus 1 in crawdad or zara spooks.

When they are deep, I'm still working on that one ;D

I never met a crankbait I didn't like. But like roadwarrior said, I don't hesitate to use live bait. A large shiner on a splitshot rig has been a skunk-buster many times.

Falcon

tubes, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, grubs, jigs are a favorite of mine.

Shhhhhhhhh, RW, don't tell these guys about the Hula Grub. ;) Hey guys, don't ever use a HG for smallies, they don't work. ;)   ;D

"I know Nothing!" ;D ;D

Hula Grubs are my go-to bait for largies or smallies.  But that's just our secret.  Don't let them other guys know!   :D
