I love using shallow running crankbaits this time of year right after the spawn.  Anybody got a favorite they use?

I caught my PB on a Norman Fat Boy, bluegill pattern.

Other suggestions include Bomber Square A,

Bagley BII, Lucky Craft (Rick Clunn) 1.5, 2.5

& 3.5 and the Fat CB series.

There are a lot of good subsurface cranks out there, my favorite is no longer made: Rapala Shallow Fat Rap, man, those are feesh ketchin machines.  

The RC 1.5 is my alltiime favorite but don't overlook the RC 0.5 in the Ghost minnow color which has bailed me out a few times when fishing clear water on sunny days.

Not much love for the Mann's Baby -1.  By far my most productive shallow crank.  Any of the firetiger colors are my favorite.

    There is nothing better than a Rapala Fat DT 3.

On that RC. 1.5 which color do you like best?

The RC is well over twice the money.  I have been getting the baby -1 for $3 at my local Dicks.  Doing well with them too.

Like others have said, the RC 1.5 is my favorite. I like the Copper Green color the best.
