Not only should we be thankful for special forces troops, but to all of the young men and women who have been involved in these operations. If I'm going to pray to God for anything, it will be that our leaders come to the realization that the real mission is accomplished and we bring our troops back home.

If he was taken alive there would have to be a trial or a tribunal. Now that begins a debate with another country as to who has judical jurisdiction. If a trial took place in Pakistan an acquittal could have been a possibility.

The operation and burial were planned perfectly, from months of secrecy thru the final outcome.

I don't think all the televised backslapping and claiming victory is good ( however well deserved and I feel as good about as the next person),but believe it does create more potential for reprisals. The awareness has been heightened through out the world as I hear it.

Apparently, it was Navy Seal Team 6, from right here in southeast Virginia, the sent Bin Laden home to be judged. God bless 'em. I've met some of these guys and I will say they are some of the most unassuming gentlemen you will ever meet. Their quiet, reserved nature is almost disconcerting. Some of America's most treasured warriors. And we'll never know the names of those warriors that did the job for us. But we love every one of them.

It seems that a deceased Muslim is supposed to be washed/cleansed and dressed appropriately prior to a burial which should be done within 24 hours. Unless of course that person died a martyr's death and is therefor buried in the clothing/state in which the martyr dies. By performing this ritual, Osama lost out on his martyrdom and all those virgins!

It's also important to note that we are NOT at war with Muslims or Islam. We are at war with a terrorist organization. In following with the rituals, it clearly points out that fact to the rest of the world.
