I have been throwing a 3/8 swimg jig with a rage tail craw (cut shorter) and I cant put this thing down! I was wondering what some other people use for there Swim Jig trailer?

my buddies use the GYCB flappin hogs for a chunky presentation, but I am with you on this one. Any of the rage craw products are what I use. bass cant seem to get enough of that action

P.S. I just use a smaller version of what Mr. Allen uses. Smaller head, smaller trailer. The point is the trailer should "overpower" the head, and move it from side to side.

He also talks about the secondary actions. The tail paddling is the primary action, it causes the head to move and the skirt to flare out and in. That's the secondary action.

I personally like Yum! Money Craws /Wooly Bullee and single tail grubs. However, the old Powerbait Beasts were great. Just a shame you can't find 'em anymore.....

I'm old. I still use Uncle Josh pork frogs as my jig trailer most of the time. When I swim a jig I like the No. 1 size because of its extra bouyancy..

I'll usually throw a handy dandy Rage Craw but i've started to get some nice bites on Flukes (White Pearl) and Strike King Shadalicious Swimbaits (The smaller ones) in Sexy Shad.

Zoom ultra-vibe speed craw. or plain speed craw...great action.

and a lot more for the money than the Rage (although they work well too)

It makes the baits swim with a downward motion, like if you fish a Thumper "backwards".
