Cavern Mouth Bass!

Featured Replies

"Cavern Mouth BASS" seems fitting for specimens like this one, lol. Fishing by myself and looking for new haunts paid off with this Huge headed BABE! My other photo didn't turn out (got blurry SCALES and a part of a tail) 'cause either my arm wasn't long enough or more likely I'm just a terrible photographer :laugh5: Look close and you'll see a 4" Lobster and a 1oz Big O brush jig down in there, and had I not been using 25lb test line, she would have easily sawed me off with her teeth during the fight.

When I get the opportunity to be awed by such huge Mouths... I always start to wonder, what is the largest prey that this particular fish has tried to fit in that Chasm

Caught several fish pitchin a Space Monkey in shallow brush but the deep bite seems to be better for a larger average size. I think I'll stay "OFF THE DEEP END" for awhile, hehehe!

Looks like the inside of a 5 gallon bucket.

You catch the fish I've been after for two years on every trip! Very well done!
