I'm interested in what you guys have found works for you for storing and carrying around your terminal tackle: hooks, weights, jig heads, o-rings, etc... I've been using the Falcon FTO terminal tackle organizer the last few years, but I'm just wondering if there's a better system out there.

i have been using a plano box and just organize it that way it keeps your hooks seperated i am using a 3700 series by them you can fit everything you need for wheights in one if you have a lot and hooks in another. Use bass pro they usually have the cheapest prices on the plano boxes. Hope this helps.

I'm using two of those FTO boxes...one in the boat as my "primary" and a "refill" box kept at home. I've found nothing better to date.

I keep some terminal tackle in the same 3700 that has the plastics. The "refill" box is a smaller box. Anything with small separate compartments should work fine.

I also use one of the Falcon boxes. But I have trouble keeping specialty hooks/jigheads/weights organized in there other than the compartments that are already labeled.

I keep a seperate box in my main box ....... a Flambeau zero rust box........ because in my experience my hooks for soft plastics rust first, so I wanted to keep it rust free. Lead weights, brass weights, all hooks, shakey heads, brass clickers, glass beads, ...ect. All in there.

Also keep my jigs in one too...... the skirts seem to hold water, and I want my jigs staying totally rust free, so use a simlar box.

Been real happy with them. (got the tabs too spread through the box...... very low priced so why not protect the investment)

Fishing for lots different species on one comp means I have lots of different hook sizes on my boat. I use strips of fridge magnets in the different compartment in my plano boxes to prevent hooks mixing on bumpy runs or while towing. Try it its cheap and it works well.

Big FTO box for the bag, in the boat I have all my tungsten in 2 3700 boxes and all my hooks in their original package in three other 3700 boxes. I use the FTO more as my rigging box and boat box, with the others being storage.

Pretty much what RW does. I keep a few extra hooks or jig heads along with my flukes, that's the only plastic I use. I fish fairly spartan, 1 rod and just a few lures on my pocket.

Offshore I use a soft bag, 3 boxes, 1 for all my terminal tackle, 1 for spoons and bucktails and a third for trolling lures.

I have a terminal box with hooks, beads, weights, pegs, swivels, etc. I also have a terminal weighted box with all weighted hooks in it...swimbait hooks, shakeyheads, weighted tube hooks, etc. Both are Falcon terminal boxes.

You dont want to see my organization of stuff, or lack there of! LOL

I have three Bass Pro 3600 boxes for soft plastics in the top compartment of a XPS Soft

Tackle Bag. These are "ready to go". All my reserves are kept in their original bags.

I use the Falcon/Plano FTO terminal tackle boxes and I keep all of my soft plastics in their original bags and keep them in a big clear plastic box I picked up at Wal Mart with a lockable lid.

That way, you only have to open one box to rig up.

I used to try and keep all my tackle in with the items I'd pair them up with the most. But that tackle was just taking up precious space that I could have more baits in, so I put it all in its own box.

I use three FTO boxes. One is for T-rigs and C-rigs, another for small jigs, and a third for drop shot, and other little doo-dads.

And BTW Chris, one run from Buffalo SBH to Seneca shoals, and that box will be totally homogenized, LOL.

Pro tip: silicone cement those dividers!

It's experienced some runs out on lake Michigan during some bad swells. My bag was meant for six 2 inch boxes, but has six 1-1/2in boxes and two 2in boxes. They fit very tight, so the lids are pushed down on the dividers and keeps everything in its place, as well as the weights are all down on the bottom so they don't push through any of them. The only thing I had a problem getting mixed up were some splits rings until I put all the strays in a bag of other rings.

But yes, some of the dividers I glued in. Mainly the ones around the weights. The rest are changed somewhat often, so I'd almost rather leave them free since I haven't had any problems with them getting mixed.

It's those "bad swells" that made me switch to the FTOs. made me NUTZ to find my stuff all mixed.

Hardly a senior alive that isn't on some kind of medication, everyone I know( including me) uses medicine vials for something fishing related.
