When I go fishing with worms I have always used real live ones, but its a pain to always have to go and buy them before fishing > so I've decided to give fake rubber ones a try and was wondering which brand was the best.

In the future this type of thing might oughta be searched for as it's liable to start a 10 page thread on likes/dislikes and you should have searched speeches. That being said we were all newbie's once so here are mine:

Zoom anything - cheap plastics that catch fish anywhere you throw em. For deep water summer time fishing the zoom ole monster's are great. Brush hogs are another favorite zoom product.

Netbait is another cheapie but goodie - great quality bait.

Then Rage tail anaconda's - little pricier but the action is deadly

Finally and probably should have been higher up on the list is allluring baits - google it. The owner is awesome and his baits kick butt. Plus tell them you're a member here in the comments at checkout for a free gift! Have fun

"Fake rubber ones". I like it. ;D Havent heard that term in quite a many years.

Great worm to start with. I started with a Creme scoundrel. A basic straight tailed worm that has caught tons and tons of bass.

Great starter would be a Zoom trickworm.

Zoom is always a good start for plastics. Inexpensive, durable and they just plain work!!

Just don't think they are a replacement for real worms.  You don't fish a plastic worm anything like a live worm.

Did you ever think about 'worm hunting' on a morning after a good rain when they're all over your driveway trying not to drown? Maybe even collecting them to start your own Worm Farm? It's not hard to do. www.redwormcountry.com

There are times when Live vs Fake will find that one out-produces the other. Just don't try to mix them. The fake ones are sterile.

there is no "best".  go to your local store and experiment, and find what you like.  The easiest type of worm to catch fish on will be a stick worm, either a yum dinger, yamamoto senko, or my fave the *** trick stick.

Like most MY favorite and my wallets favorite is Zoom. And just got some *** trick sticks in.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Roboworms. I suggest you pick up at least 1 pack..color will be dependent on conditions, i.e. clear, muddy, or stained water. Lighter colors in clear, darker for stained, and dark for muddy, i.e black, or black grape.  Good luck

i've been having great luck with robowroms. they're really soft and have tons of action, and they last awhile too. i'm able to hook 2-3 bass before tearing or losing the worm.

as for the fat roboworms, i just started using them and i'm not liking them to much. they don't seem to have as much action as the 4.5" and 6" robos, plus they seem to tear much easier than the normal ones.

In truth, bass love all fake rubber worms, and due to their coverage and action,

they catch more bass than real live worms...Honest!

There are no 'best' plastic worms of course, but among my favorites are the

Gambler Big Stick (tubetail), Gambler Flapp'n Tail (paddletail) and Berkley Power Worm (ribbontail).
