Favorite Jig/Spinnerbait trailers

Featured Replies

Everyone post a link or picture with your favorite jig/spinnerbait trailers. How about everyones favorite Jig trailer for bottom crawling, swimming jigs, and then favorite spinnerbait trailers. Just trying to get an idea and possibly give everyone else an idea of good ones to be using, trying to add jigs and spinnerbaits to my arsenal and dont know where to start

I don't use trailers on my spinnerbaits, but for jigs I like....

- Rage Tail Craws or Space Monkeys

- GYCB Flappin' Hog

- Zoom Chunk

I'm going to be trying the #11 pork trailer this Winter.  I always hear good things about the pork trailers in cold water.

For swimming the jigs I would go with the Rage Tail stuff.  The action is incredible and will give your jig a good thump and lift.

Netbait Paca Chunk and Paca Chunk Sr. for jigs used either way are my favorites. I don't use a trailer most of the time with a spinnerbait, but when I do, I use a 3" or 5" curly tail grub to add a little bulk.

if I use a spinnerbait trailer its a zoom 4" grub.

Jig trailers is

Bassnacks, zoom lil critters, or eakins craws.  Mostly basssnacks though

Jigs I use paca craws / baby paca craws

spinners I use Yum Booge Tails or the *** equivilent.  Otherwise a 4-5" grub or twin tail grub.

I'm new to jigs, so the only one I've used so far are the Paca Chunks.

I don't know if it's the jig or the trailer, but they seem to go after it.

I'll probably try ***'s trailers soon.

I ran out of Chunks on my last trip, so I put on one of ***'s tubes as a trailer just to try it out and I caught fish with it. I don't know if it was dumb luck or what but it worked that day

One question - Is it written in stone that the trailer should match the jig in color or can they contrast ?

Don't use a spinnerbait trailer much, but when I do I use the Yum Bogee Tail in a color that matches my spinnerbait skirt.

For jigs I go with either a Yum Muy twin-tail grub, Yum chunk, or Yum Craw Papi.  I usually try to match the color of the trailer to the skirt, but if its off a little bit I don't see it has a bad thing.
