patriarch.finish is indestructable.they are basically the same reel anyway.

never fished the other but LOVE my lews TP

Ive always loved the look of the patriarch. Very good looking reel and very smooth. Almost bought one last year but opted for a curado. I wouldn't be concerned with the durability of either, both companies have been doing this a long time and are known for putting out durable reels.

I have a Lews, a Patriarch and a Patriarch XT. All 3 reels are great. I have no complaints about any of them. I do like the looks of the Lews a litle more, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The all fish the same in my opinion.

I don't own any Lew's so I cannot make a comparrison, but I do own 4 Patriarch XT's and like them more then any other of my reels (including daiwa zillion, fuego, sol, shimano curado 100D, 200E, and even a chronarch 50MG). With that said I plan on buying 2 Patriarchs in the near future as I want a couple of reels with a little more weight to them and honestly a reel that weighs 8. something ounces is not too heavy to fish all day...

I have a 64WLP & TP1SH along with a TP1S in the mail, I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either. Cosmetically I think the Patriarchs are way cooler, since I'm not a big fan of black reels & the Patriarch is shiny, really shiny & purdy. I think the Patriarch feels more solid, so I'd probably go with that if I was planning on doing some heavy cover fishing or tip down moving baits, where the extra weight is less noticeable. If I was going to be primarily using it for baits worked with the tip up, I'd probably go with the TP, where I think the weight difference would be more noticeable.
