  1. Great Video Russ. Topwater is picking up here and I will start taking my video camera when spotaholic and I go out.
  2. It's not a set distance. The bass just told you something. It's all about what you do from that moment on. The next thing you do is back off and work from a few feet inside the pads and work it all the way to the boat.

  9. Although there is allot of good information and opinions here. I think all that needs to be said has been. So I am locking this thread. But before I do. I am going to exercise the advantage I have of getting the last word. ;D Before all this stuff about Al Gore being the voice of global warming he was just another unemployed politician looking for a job to pay his bills. And I have yet to meet a honest politician. Now GO FISHING!!! Then come back and tell us about all the great bass you have cought. Fluke
  10. I have two boys who are 3 and 5 years old and they do make noise while we are fishing. But I remind myself that I'm not there to catch fish. I am there to enjoy my time with the kids. With that said. There is a technique that we use to catch hybrid and stripped bass on my lake. We find a school of baitfish in deep water that has inactive bass under it. Then we take a broom handle and bang it on the bottom of the boat for most of the time we are fishing. This causes the baitfish to scatter and it triggers the bass to start feeding. Then we start catching. It really works.
  11. I do a combination of marabou and narrow neck feathers.
  12. Thanks Cravin, but we still have the same amount of hair that we did a few weeks ago. 5bass is still as bald as a cue ball. ;D
  13. You guys need to PM us when you have problems like this. We know how to fix them and are happy to do so. hi_steel PM me a good email address and I will set up a temp. password for you.
  14. They are posted by the same guy. He is the owner of another forum that has attracted many of the members that we have banned in the last year or so. Don't worry about them.
  15. I decked a 1436 two years ago and then sold it to Senko77. I road out three foot waves several times. It was great. But a 1432 is a little small. I would also put an over powered foot control motor on it. At least a 46lb. It helps in the wind and waves.
  16. I use them often and they catch fish anywhere. My trick is to fish it slow. If you think you are going to slow you need to slow down some more. That little tail with flutter at the slowest of speeds. You can also bounce some of them off of the bottom. Not all are designed to do this. You will see alot of following bass as you bring it to the boat. When you see this one thing to do is to make a figure eight in the water with your bait. Many times it will trigger a strike.
  17. How about some outriggers. http://www.castlecraft.com/stabilizers.htm
