SPELLING IS SOOOOOO OVER RATED !!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's look at my good friend and member Triton Mike. He is sponsord by Gary Y, Lucky Craft, Motor Guide and several other good companies. But he doesn't fish a single tournament. He guides and travles for his sponsors for seminars and he writes for Inside Line. His knoledge sells and he knows how to get the word out for his sponsors. So he is a prime example.

Cali Hawg Hunters vs Regular Bass Fisherman
Needemp, Let me offer you a challange. There is currently no recorded IGFA line class records for the state of missori. http://www.fieldandstream.com/fieldstream/igfa/missouri.html Get you some IGFA rated line in 4lb, 12lb, and 20lb and go catch you some bass. Then get them certified and you will have your name in the books.

Scenario to test your mind
I'll make this simple. A Zoom Finesse Worm. Two colors, Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Gold Flake. I would put the worm on a 1/4 oz Spot Remover Jighead. That's for all seasons

Cali Hawg Hunters vs Regular Bass Fisherman
****Moderator Note******** You might want change the title of this thread. This topic has been discussed many times before. And to tell Hawg Hunters that they aren't "Real Bass Fisherman" is pretty narrow minded.

Why the Pros don't use nets
Bud, you should check out one of this sites sponsors (Sure Life Labs). The stuff they sell to add to your livewell will reduce the death rate of tournament fish to less than 2%. It is some great stuff. I will always swear by it.

Deer season?
That's a great deer. He looks pretty old to. I wish we could grow them that big down here in Georgia without having to spend thousands of dollars on feed and foodplots for them. Congrats.

A lil advice.
When practicing for a tournament I love to have a bunch of rods rigged for anything and everything but I keep them in the locker. It seems to me that you are putting to much emphasis on what lure to use, instead of where the fish are. It isn't safe to have that many rods on the boat, not to mention it's not very efficient. The majority of my prefishing is done with a search bait. I am not trying to catch the fish when searching. I look for the flash of a fish or a follow or anything to tell me that bass are in the area. Then once I have found them I pick up a confidence lure (jig) and start to fine tune the presentation. I try to figure out what they are holding on, and what mood they are in. This is when I start pulling rods out of the rod locker. Then I catch a couple to see what size I can expect from the area. After that I crank up and go find another spot. So to start with I would suggest having only three or four rods on the boat with one of the rods being a slower confidence bait. P.S. Don't be afraid to tie a knot or two.

A Christmas Hoo-Ah for the boys abroad
Origin----- The modern hooah, primarily associated with but not restricted to the infantry, originated with the Second Dragoons in Florida as "hough" in 1841. In an attempt to end the war with the Seminoles, a meeting was arranged with the Indian Chief Coacoochee. After the meeting, there was a banquet. Officers of the garrison made a variety of toasts, including "here's to luck!" and "the old grudge" before drinking. Coacoochee asked Gopher John, an interpreter, the meaning of what they said. Gopher John responded, "It means, How d'ye do," whereupon the Chief, with great dignity, lifted his cup above his head and exclaimed in a deep, guttural and triumphant voice, "HOUGH!" And so the expression was born. It has since achieved high popularity - having lasted for more than 150 years, through the American Civil War, two world wars, the Korean conflict, the Vietnam war, Operation Just Cause in Panama and the Persian Gulf war. And the expression continually grows in popularity. Once heard mainly from infantry soldiers, hooah has spread throughout the rest of the Army. Soldiers will continue to acknowledge a mission to be accomplished, a job well done, victory at a sporting event or any occasion imaginable with "HOOAH!"

Spawn Period
In that case start looking for spawning bass from about the 20th of April till the water temps get into the mid 70's.
-
Spawn Period
Where in GA do you live? If I remember correctly from one of your first post you live in Southern Ga. Start looking for the fish to spawn down there in March or even as early as mid February in the protected Northwest pockets of the lake.

Deer season?
Welcome to the site. It's great to have you here. I've managed to shoot 6 does this year. I am a meat hunter first so they were all young and tender. I didn't see anything with big enough antlers this year to take but I still have a week left in the season so we will see. Preach, The best thing I have ever bought for trophy hunting is a good pair of binoculars and one of the cross the back straps for it. I no longer make mistakes when it comes to identification. By the way I hunt some of the thickest crap you will ever see down here in GA and the binoculars help penitrate into it.

Welcome. I live on the southern end of Clarks Hill. You have picked a great place to retire. We'll have to hook up some time for a day on the lake.

What is the biggest fish you have every lost?
When I was stationed at Ft Gordon, GA I slid my 12ft jon boat into a swamp in the middle of post. Ft Gordon is pretty big and it is closed to public fishing. So this place hadn't been fished in years. I tied on a fluke and started tossing it around. I made a cast towards a beaver hut and started working it down one of the ditches that the beaver use to get into their hut. All of a sudden out of the dark swampy water this huge bass came up and grabbed the Fluke. After a couple of runs the drag on my cheep spinning reel locked up and the line broke. That is when I decided that I will never fish with a low quality reel again.
