  1. You know you have my support Mike. I have spent many a night under that bridge with the hydroglow. It was some great fishing.
  2. If KVD was the only one that used those gadgets and gizmos then yes I would say it was an unfair advantage. But he isn't the only one. Dozens of tournament pro have them and use them and still only one person can win. I am all for the gadgets. They help drive the industry of fishing and if there was no industry we wouldn't be fishing.
  3. It's great to see two members getting together for a great day a fishin. Good job guys.
  4. That's great Bid Dog. Just be carful.
  5. This is a busy time of the year for him. He is traveling and doing seminars and fishing shows. He is at the Atlanta Boat show this weekend. I think he speeks at 4pm on Saturday.

  8. I think it looks great. Just make sure you match the thread color with the other colors on the shirt. Here's mine. And the front of mine has my full name on it.
  9. Here's a link for ya Cigarlover. ;D Countdown Clock
  10. That's good infor. Was Ike standing on a box or something? I know you can't be that short.
  11. This kinda makes me chuckle. Matt, many of us fish large electric only lakes. In fact some of us build electric boats for a hobby. In the tournaments we fish you might even see as many as four trolling motors on the back of a boat. We have found that it's a balancing act between how strong the motors are and how many batteries it takes to run them. The biggest thing a second motor does it take a little work away from the other. The boat will go a little faster with each added motor but as you add motors you add battery weight and that eliminates much of the advantages of the motor. We have found that battery location on the boat is more important than how many motors you have. We have tested the speed of two boats that have the same hull. One boat has one 80lb thrust on the back and a 65lb foot control on the front. The other boat has three 80lb on the back and I'm not sure how strong the front motor is. But the first boat is considerably fast than the second. We contribute the speed to the location of the batteries. We put them up front, under the front seat and two spares in the back. So feel free to play with those two motors but also play around with your batteries. You will be surprised at what you find out. Also I use my GPS to check my speed.
  12. Lol $1/ per word $50 for a bus ticket when he can't produce them! Where's the beef? Is there a blue moon tonight? Dirk just posted something!!!!!
  13. When prefishing I like to find a pattern. Knowing the pattern will help me narrow down the spots. On tourny day I like to have at least 4 or as many as 12 spots that fit that pattern. Me and the guys I prefish for have always done well when concentrating on the spots. So it's a little bit of both.
  14. You can also look at Harbor Freight Tools. Get the cheepest hammer drill they have. I got one for $25 just before Christmas.
  15. Can I get an AMEN to that!!!!!!
  16. I hope I can help you with that.
  17. A whole year and not one haircut. lol Those are some great fish. That last one almost had me. Good job with photoshop.
  18. In '04 I couldn't break 8lbs. In '05 I couldn't break 9lbs. Last year my best was 9.98lbs. So this is going to be my year. With the trip to Fork and then coming home just in time for the Lake Varner spawn it should be perfect. I am moving into the double digits this year. That's all I want to do, just break 10lbs.
  19. Russ I see your point. I know of three individuals in the past 50 years who have developed vehicles that were 100% environmentally friendly, inexpensive to produce and don't use any type of patrolium product. All three of them wound up dead. We are an oil dependant world because we are forced to be. One thing I forgot to mention is that my brother had the money. It was the government agencies that wouldn't touch it. NASA laughed at him and said that there was no way congress would approve of it.
  20. OK I have to chime in on this one to. I think that it's a bunch of crap and I will tell you why. My older brother is an aerospace engineer (aka Rocket Scientist). He is the world authority on satellite optics and weather sensors. I guess this was 12 or 13 years ago. He was designing a satellite for his Masters thesis. The satellite was designed to test the Ozone Layer Theory and prove once and for all if it was true or false. It could detect the holes that everyone said existed. After he finished building it he spent two years trying to find someone who would put it up into orbit. He couldn't get anyone to do it. He even tried China and Russia. It wasn't like this was his first satellite either. He already had three in orbit and for some reason nobody wanted to touch this one. It just doesn't make any sense. I guess there is too much money in it staying theory. He has since put up dozens of weather satellites and even helped Russia rebuild their early warning system and he still can't get anyone to touch this. It now sits in a storage unit.
  21. Here's another link to the story. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16492304/ This is increadable. Fayettville is part of Atlanta. Just south of the Atlanta Airport.
