Roadtrip Fishing Conditions
From reports for the past 10 years. The water temp should be between 55 and 65 and the water clears up pretty fast after a rain.

How Important is Paint and Detail to the Bass?
I have several lipless crankbaits that the fish wouldn't hit untill most of the paint had been removed. So you will find me scuffing up some new ones with steel wool from now on.

Don't Wait!
We don't come on these trips to fish alone. We always have a plan to have a name draw each night at dinner but we haven't had to do it yet. It always seems to work out. But if there is anyone who doesn't have a seat in a boat by dinner each night you better tell me so we can make sure you do. If you don't come find me it's on you.

Check out who's comming to KY Lake in April...
That doesn't mean that there's no rooms left at the Lodge though. They just set aside a block for us and now we just move into the overflow. lol Now I'm excited. I'm glad to see so many of us going. I'm going to try to get there sometime late Saturday. It all depends on how work goes the night before and what time I get off Saturday morning.

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I'll fit as many people that I safely can in my boat. I'm sure it won't be the only boat that heads out to do that. I know that if I announce it there will be a convoy headed to the shallows. lol There's not many things better than a big school of crappie and a bunch of friends to share it with.

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I'm bringing my snoopy rod again this year. It should be prime time for Crappie and I am planning on spending one afternoon with my Ultralight and a bucket of 5 or 6 dozen minnows.

LBH, with your track record with flying you better plan to leave three days early so you get there before it ends. ;D

Like you said. It's a gimmick and we have blocked the website from being posted because of it.

Any engineers on here?
I have two older brothers who have degrees in engineering. They both started out with BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and built on them. One is now an Aerospace Engineer (Rocket Scientist) and is the leading authority on space optics. The other stayed in college for 14 years and has several degrees including a PHD in math and a masters in physics. He is in charge of quality control for GE Medical. My dad is also an engineer. He retired very well. So engineering is a great choice.

Anyone else gettin itchy?
Itchy? Heck I backed the boat up the driveway a few hours ago. It was a cold one but our water down here is still soft. Welcome aboard. You're going to love it here.

EWG G-Lock What????
I use a hitch hiker and a finesse hook instead. It looks nice.
-
EWG G-Lock What????
When I'm working soft plastics fast like a soft jerkbait or a floating worm I have found that I get more hookups when using a regular offset worm hook instead of a EWG or G-Lock.
