  1. Has anyone that signed up for those free reward points have them applied to there accounts yet? I believe RW posted about this in the Everything Else section. Took advantage of it about a month ago but it still hasn't hit my BPS account.
  2. Size and numbers are both up for me by a huge margain. Haven't gone out nearly as much either. Already beat my smallmouth count from last year and the season isn't even close to being done yet. Experimenting with different baits is the key IMO. Last year I was stuck on Powerworms for smallies and Senkos for bass. This year I can't even count how many different baits I have tried with success.
  3. Awesome fish man! Who cares about the weight...those are some fish to be proud of! 8-)
  4. Thank you. RW when do the smallies run down there?
  5. Thanks for the explanation.
  6. So why is people always talking about good bed baits like the Nest Raider and such? Or Rick Clunn talking about draggin lizards over beds? Not being a jerk. Honestly trying to get some info here.
  7. Why not? Serious question.
  8. Depends on how "muddy" it is. The creek that I fish was cloudier yesterday (greenish brown tint to it). I whacked them okay with a Chigger Craw with a bullet weight on the front to get it to dig into the gravel. The claws flappin wild causes quite the disturbance in the water. The fish had no trouble locating the lure in this water.
  9. Check out my smallie trip from yesterday in the Fishing Outing section. They were hitting just fine after a couple downpours and thunderstorms yesterday afternoon. 8-)
  10. Sorry for the size of the pics guys. For some reason they didn't save after my re-size. I'll fix em when I get a chance. I know how annoying side-scrolling is. Thanks G-man.
  11. Here are some of yesterdays fish. 17 total in (3) hours. Slower than Saturday but still a nice chunk of bass. Caught on Berkley Chigger Craws with a 1/8 Tru-Tungsten bullet weight and GYCB skirted double tail grubs weightless. There was a massive storm that rolled through about a half hour before I started baggin them. Denea was supposed to show up but I think he fell asleep. That sucks. ;D Kidding man! One thing that stunk during yesterdays trip? I lost two tru-tungsten sinkers on snags. Paying 4 bucks for three sinkers......they sure are worth it with feeling the bottom and detecting rock structure, but man losing them hurts. :'( I need to lay off the burgers. Nice double chin Davis! ;D This fish tail whipped my camera. He was mean! 8-)
  12. Not much of a story teller like some of ya'll but I've had some great fishing these past two days. Saturday was a monster of a day. Ended up going through a whole pack of GYCB 5" Grubs and some *** Lake Fork Craws. Ended up with 40+. This after Denea had a 30+ day a couple weeks before. There killin everything down here! Was so ridiculous that I just stopped breaking out the camera. Here are some of the pics from Saturday. They were hitting everywhere in the water column. No real pattern to speak of. The grubs and craws were rigged on a 2/0 EWG weightless. Swam them and twitched em. Don't usually like putting them on the ground/rocks but wanted some different shots. This was my 3 lber here on the sand. I'm working on yesterdays catch right now. I'll edit this post in a bit. Thanks for viewing.
  13. Watermelon Purple Swirl 5" Trick Stick from *.com If the water is pretty muddy than I go to Black/blue flake.
  14. My Citica 200s are made in Malasyia (spelling?) But my Citica 100dsv is made in Japan.
  15. If money is not an issue than by all means go with the higher end rods. Can't go wrong with St Croix. The Avids and Legends are very nice. 8-)
  16. Whatever Burley, you motorboatin' SOB ;D
  17. Look at the link in my last post. Wasn't sure if you caught my edit or not. Free shipping...no tax. Bass pro is a waste of time with there shipping charges, taxes, and rod shipping fees.
  18. Then you would like this rod. For moving baits I don't like a super expensive setup. This rod has a good feel at a good price. I've thrown some larger profile 1/2 ounce spinnerbaits with no killer vibration at all coming down the blank. Just enough to "feel" whats going on. Check them out. http://www.***.com/descpageCASTFALCON-FLRC.html It's the Herm Special. Tells you a little bit about it as well. Seriously it's worth a good look for a spinnerbait rod.
  19. I use a Falcon Lowrider 6'6" MH fast action. The lure rating is 1/4-3/4 though. :-/ Really does a great job though chucking spinnerbaits. I don't go over 1/2 ounce for my SBs so this rod is perfect for me at a good price. Paid 109 for it I believe.

You can T-rig em or Texpose would be the proper term. : ;D Make sure your hook is straight when riggin or it will roll. My experience anyway.
  21. Love that pic with the rod flexing and drag being taken out. LOVE THAT FEELING! Insane fish man. Tell him congrats.
  22. Great story. That is why I'm in the market for a high speed reel and a heavy frog rod. Especially in this one lake/pond I fish in the summer. Very very mossy. Last year I tried froggin with a spinning rod and 8lb line. Didn't work out well. I didn't have a PB on my line but I did loose fish in the slop because of not being able to turn there heads and drag them out. I NEED MY STIMULUS CHECK GW!!!!! ;D

I don't lose jigs often but when I need to order more you will definatley be getting my business from now on. Great work man. 8-)
  24. Let em jump! Especially smallies. Try to keep pressure on the fish at all times with your rod. Haven't lost too many jumpers.
  25. Davis replied to Denea's topic in Everything Else
Yep we need to plan a day where we can fish all day and hit a bunch of spots. Haven't had a full day of fishing yet this year. Whenever you want to head up to my dads or your uncles let me know. Especially this week. Except Saturday (wedding anniversary) ;D .
