  1. I agree totally. Again with just limited experience this year with BCs.....I sold my Revo s right away after fishing with my 200d. I now own a 100dsv and 200dpv to go along with my D. At 60 bucks how could you pass a reel like this up? Love them to pieces and now have found my self being a Shimano only man. Just very well built and your right....the weight does not effect me at all. I was throwing crankbaits and spinnerbaits all weekend. Didn't get worn out at all by the reel.
  2. Bingo....nothing makes me more upset. How much money is enough money to some of these people? Greed kills.
  3. Most of my BC setups are for lures 1/4 ounce on.... Just go with a spinning setup for those smaller Rapalas. Lot easier.
  4. My Abu rebates came in pretty quick. Just received my first shimano rebate last week for my purchase at the end of Feb. Patience man it will be coming. These things take time just like most rebates.
  5. Nice fish! That is the reason why I don't like to fish for them. Not because I don't like steelhead but because I hate dealing with rude anglers. In my neck of the woods not too many people target bass so I usually get to fish in peace most of the time. A couple people around is fine.....but it's when you get these people that have no clue what Angler respect is. ;D
  6. Try a stop and go retrieve with your spinnerbait. Worked for me this weekend. Also try slow rolling one parallel to the shore. See if you can pick off some of those bedding bass. My hits came within just a couple feet from shore this weekend on a 1/2 ounce white spinnerbait.
  7. First how were you putting your line on?
  8. Also, it has 2 bearings less than the 200 size. I thought it was just one bearing? Well I guess that's the reason then! ;D
  9. If your just a weekend angler like me than there is nothing wrong with the Citicas at all. I love them! My Citica 200D and 200dpv are my favorite so far. Like my Citica 100dsv but for some reason it doesn't feel as smooth as my 200s. Could be because the 100 does not have the HEG gearing like the 200s do.
  10. Figures.....didn't bring my camera for the first time this year. Caught three 2 lbers that were cruisin the shore. First time I have seen any fish activity this year. Warm temps in the 60s for the past three days must have brought them up. Caught them all on * Watermelon Purple Swirl 5" Trick sticks on my spinning setup. Also brought out my Citica 200d in hopes of catching my first BC bass. Well I had a trap on and hooked into something. When I brung the fish to shore I noticed it wasn't a bass at all. But an 8" Brook trout lol. Wasn't snagged either. The whole #6 Owner treble was in his mouth. Never thought that small trout were this aggressive. It was a 1/2 ounce Rattle trap. Thought that was cool. Anyway it was nice to feel a bass on the end of my line finally. Was getting frustrated there for the past couple weeks. Maybe I should forget my camera all the time? :
  11. lol I was wondering why Big-O was always pimpin the Rage tail products for the past couple months. Now I know.... Anyway thanks for jumping on board and supporting the site.
  12. Citica 100dsv Citica 200d Citica 200dpv I have an Revo S but getting rid of it shortly. Love the Shimanos so much that I'm going all Shimano. Can I be part of the posse now lol.
  13. I don't drink anymore. Haven't for almost three years. But when I did drink whiskey I would get really really mean and aggressive. Never hurt anyone but it got to the point where it woke me up for sure. Same with my father and brother. We just can't handle whiskey really well....especially in large quanities. I thank the good Lord that I'm free of that stuff now.
  14. Thanks for the link man! I just bought a kc2 kill'r medium and a Super Bee RT shallow crank from him. Can't wait to try em.
  15. I have Bass Pros season one and it really doesn't cover the how to's of flipping and pitching. If you look at Edwin and Stacey you can get some hints by watching them but they really don't explain it at all.
  16. Thanks because I was having backlash problems when pitching too.
  17. Go with a Citica for 69.99 after rebate or if your set on something above 100 than you can't go wrong wtih the Curado for 19.99 after rebate. I have a Revo S but after a couple runs with it I really would rather fish with my Citicas to be honest. Just my opinion anyway. Can't go wrong with Shimano.
  18. I think your scale is working just fine. That's a nice fish man.
  19. Looks almost identical to a Method Crank from Reaction Innovations.
  20. They have to be swamped. I sent in my rebate request from buying my REVO S maybe a month ago and they just emailed me back saying they received it and it will take another 6-8 weeks. So be patient I guess? : lol
  21. Your right it isn't a "need" item lol. Stupid baitmonkey. Should be great for slow rolling spinnerbaits down along weedlines and downed trees. IMO it's just me looking for an excuse to by another Citica! ;D 8-)
  22. Yep the 100s were sold out as of yesterday morning.
  23. I have a 200d and a 100dsv Citica. Love both. The size difference doesn't bother me at all.
  24. Couldn't pass up a Citica 200DPV for 69 dollars after rebate. I needed a decent cranking reel as my Citica 100dsv and 200d are a tad too fast. Even when I slow down I feel like I can't get into a good rythem. Anyone own this reel and what other uses do you use it for? Wife is going to kill me!
