Nothing again yesterday. Tried a Rapala DT-4 really slow and also a Fat Ika VERY SLOW. I did some some minnows grouped around shore but no gills or bass yet to be seen. Maybe next week they will start to move up. Water temps are still pretty cold. I'm fishing on shore by the way.

From an unbiased person that owns both a Revo S and a Citica 100dsv and Citica 200d, you can expect it to perform better IMO. I have played with both a lot in the past two weeks and I can cast farther with my Citica and it just feels more sturdy on the retrieve. You will definately enjoy it.

Doubt it being the weather. For me anyway...it was almost 68 degrees out.

I have seen no fish activity at all so far on the spots that I have fished. Not even bluegills or pumpkinseeds. How long do fish usually stay deep after ice-out?

Really? I'll give that a go too. When I went to my local 20 acre pond there was still some ice around the east end edges. So I'm guessing the pond melted just earlier in the week. Going tonight.

I'm going to try some plastics today. Water temps are around 42 and I wasn't getting hit on traps at all this weekend. Also tried a jerkbait with no luck. Guess I'll give the Ikas a whirl after work.

Went out this weekend and was skunked just after ice out.....just felt good to get out there. Anyway I was throwing some Rattlin Vibes and Traps on my crankin setup. 10lb Cabelas line. After a couple hours of throwing I noticed that deeper into the spool there was a piece of line coming up that was not connected to anything. So I pulled line off the spool until I got to it and sure enough it was frayed off. How could this happen in the middle of the spool like that? Obviously being in the middle of the spool it never touched water. Was throwing the lures and line on my Citica 100dsv. Thoughts?

Seriously Chris..........you won't need that warranty anyway. I have a Tacoma that is three years old this year and I have'nt had one problem with it. The brakes feel just as tight as the day I bought the vehicle which is crazy since I use to change brakes once a year on my last chevy. Buy Toyota....you won't be disappointed. I fully expect my truck to give me at least 200,000 since everyone else that I know has there Toyotas going strong over that. The bodies will rust out before you have any major problems. Go for it.

Thoughts? Picked one up for 14.99 on sale. I already have a 6'6" Shimano rod for cranking but I wanted a 7 footer for when I fish this one particular spot. Obviously I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a glass rod for cranking on one fishing pond.

It was pretty close to an 1/8 but I did remove some just to be sure. Probably didn't help that I spooled up 15 minutes before we fished. ;D

I threw some on all my reels last night and my sons spinning reel as well. Last night he had a lot of problems with 6lb Yozuri Ultra Soft springing off the spool (yes I put the line on correctly and tight). This stuff is very nice and like others have said....it's not sticky at all. Can't wait to see the results this weekend.

Spinning gear 8 lb test line 4/0 Gammy or Owner EWG hook Rig it backwards and fish it with short hops like a jig and let it flutter back down. Also when I first cast it I let it sit for maybe 20 seconds before I start my short hops. I think most of my hits last year came on the initial fall though so be ready to set that hook.

My son is in third grade and DEFINATELY knows the difference between real and fake. People need to stop with the excuses in this country. Parents need to stop being selfish,partying, and neglecting there kids and point them in the right directions in life. I agree with the spanking comment. I spanked my boy a couple years back and Protective Services came to my house. Told them the truth. I only have spanked my kid a couple times in his life. There is a reason why he behaves most of the time lol. Putting them in a chair for 10 minutes or grounding them from video games isn't going to do any good. There is a difference between spanking and pounding your kid. If your throwing your kid around everyday than yes that's not going to help either. Christ said it best.....Love others as you love yourself.

One of my friends just lost both his legs in a roadside bomb right before Easter. He is back in the states now recovering but they still don't know the extent of brain damage. His wife is due to have there second child next week. The reason I say this is because there are people that were protesting this young troops journal pages and local news stories online. You think people would have a heart during times like this.....but there selfish and go off to puff themselves up. It's darn right rude and disrespectfull if you ask me. Glad to see things went well.

Yep there crazy. Just do a search for Japanese game shows on youtube. There is a library one that is pretty funny in spots as well.
