  1. lots of ryan's in this forum. senko77, and jaxbasser, and me as well. anyhow, how did that big gal taste at that size? muddy or clean?
  2. thats one great idea! besides that, I can see if they have many crayfish in an area, like in a small lake.
  3. certainly, u can change lures for different situations if they aren't there. but I think you have one healthy "bad" habit. I sometimes get to a point, where every few casts I'm changing. that's not good. how can I learn to use a lure doin that? keep 1 lure on for half the day, you're going to get good with that lure. you're eventually going to use the lure and find out how bass want it presented on an average.
  4. aright, thanks a bunch hillbilly.
  5. so uh, LBH....... ;D whats that blue thing on your coffee table? lol
  6. thats what I'm sayin... Raul, that is my biggest problem, is how to get the answers. where are the fish going to be? u hit the nail on the head! now retaining it, filing it and being able to process it back out to answer form may take some practice... lol so instead of finding out what people like to do in certain circumstances... find how to figure out those circumstances first...? for lack of better words, or inability to use them, instead of knowing all the answers and not knowing the question... get the question and then find the answers... I hope I'm gettin the drift anyhow.
  7. can I get a link to the schedule? if its a login/password deal, any comin to NC?
  8. lmfao this about sums it up I think!
  9. sounds like someone is getting a little spoiled! : lol simple is as simple does.......
  10. someone posted this site on knot tying... http://www.grogono.com/knot/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg might be something LBH wants to look into for this site. when u asked about comments for what to add to the site?
  11. my pond does that matt. lol I thought a lake had river basins going to it, and a pond did not. and what about lakes with lilly pads? can't much argue with the book though. it doesn't talk back.
  12. yep. some anglers troll their motor to a spot and get right on top of the fish and slam their motor down and fish from there. all that noise, those fish aren't biting. its not that they know a fisherman is there (maybe some do), its just that their environment isn't "right". they live in a secluded area, quiet. or noisy in fact. its quiet, so noise makes alot of sound. aside from noise traveling faster. a boats shade may turn them off. but let that boat sit there for 5 mins without any noise coming from it. they will feel secure again, giving better chances to the bite. same with casting. make quieter casts.
  13. that might be worth a try....
  14. you dont seem to have much trouble with bass, lookin at those pics... sheesh.. : lol
  15. wonderful information raul! maybe a part II, or example #2, next time you go out. that would be nice! I didn't have that info to look at, takes alot of the guessing out of it...
  16. I caught a 7lber and threw him back. its important to throw big fish back. keep a small one before you keep a big one. they are the more healthier fish and give off better spawn.
  17. hell, I dont use cranks that often, u'll find me usin a spinnerbait more often than a crank. it wont get hung up nearly as often. that or a plastic. I try not to complicate things, however, I'm very good at it. :-/
  18. I said I tied a palomar... I meant I tie a clinch knot on everything.
  19. ernel... u can catch that 12lber you know. u saw where she feeds. read up on big bass and how they work.
  20. I would hate to think of the pain passing an oversized worm. or Fat Ika....
  21. who said women couldn't contribute to the sport! or enjoy it either? ;D
  22. excellent posts! about putting the hook through the spine of the shad... I take the point of the hook and flake off a scale and then put it just under the skin right behind that dorsal fin. depending on where I want to fish, whether its towards the top of the water, I use a bobber, or the bottom structure, I sort of carolina rig it. I wish they sold live crayfish around here. I've been wantin to try them out.
  23. talkin about great questions... you must have jotted them down as u were fishin. u wont find anywhere else like this place. there are articles at the top as well called "fishing articles", u might try "For Beginning Anglers" first.
  24. 7 1/2 lbs on a minnow... smallest pond I ever seen, and the biggest bass I ever seen come out of such a small pond!
  25. what a nice pond to be fishing... with all those fish. u might want to invest in a 7'6" or so flippin rod and a low speed (5.2) reel just for that situation and getting through the hydrilla
