Im not one to brag you know. : ;D But when It comes to Dallas you know I gotta do a little trash talkin. I loved the slow motion clip of Romo on the sidelines just tossing around the ball and it goes through his fingers and hits him in the facemask. Doh!

Thanks for all the comments guys! It means alot, Because it wouldn't be possible without ya'll. The Jig is really fun Sam, but like Tin said in another thread you gotta know when to put it down ;D. I brought my spinning settup along in case I wanted to throw some jerkbaits, but I didn't even pick it up.

It was in the mid 50's today, and I decide to head down to the Occoquan river. Got there at 11:45 and it was still pretty cloudy. worked the banks for a couple hours workin any fishy spots I saw until the sun came out. About three o'clock I headed back to the small bluff that I started at thinking some bass would be coming up to warm up on the rocks. Hooked into this girl my fifth or sixth cast. I was using a 3/8 oz booya jig with beaver trailer. I thought I was snagged on a rock, but notice my line was moving towards me. Set the hook and she just floated to the surface. This bass had the (Melenoma?) spots on it. I should have taken the picture of the other side. It had a huge 1.5 inch wide scar running from the top of its head halfway down its body. Musta been clobbered by a trolling motor. I didn't have a scale but it had to have been about 4#. I know its not huge but this is my first year really bass fishing, and this was only my second outing using a baitcaster... Im pretty happy.
  10. looks good, Nice work.
  11. I just got over this, as well as my girlfriend and ALL of my co-workers. Take some tylenol sinus NIGHTIME right before bed. It help me get through the night like you wouldn't believe. Dries you up, and knocks you out.

    nice fatty.
  14. I started out working in the food industry. It was very stressful. I have and still supervise, but in an office setting currently. Management is stressful work also. Taking the rap for what others do, and telling people that they can't do this or that will work your nerves. I don't think a management position in the food industry will be any less stressful than social work IMO. just my two cents.
  15. "Be the Fish" Muddy ;D
  16. I found the X Rap pretty easy to fish. You just have to be willing to try different retrieves. I usually cast, then reel down to appropriat depth, then twitch randomly while still reeling it in, but verry slowwly.
  17. I saw that one too. Bunch of dummies.
  18. sure looks like it. Nice fish anyhow.
  19. welcome to bass resource. Great info here.
  20. Im sure I can dig up some more when I get home. ;D
  21. Here's another thread on the subject with some info. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196030554
  22. Thanks dsaavedra, I figure I would just need to play with it to get it fine tuned to my liking. I'm pretty good at thumbing the reel and controling the spool, and would like to have it set so that I don't need to adjust the brakes at all. I'm still having trouble remebering to adjust the tension knob every time I switch baits. ;D
  23. Thanks for the help Raul. I was shocked at how little was explained in the booklet that came with the reel. I guess its more "trial and error" than anything else.
