I think I'm a bad influence...
I hear ya Muddy. I'm the first one to call on his card if he gets in trouble. There was another instance when a kid named Kane said something to him and he responded with something along the lines of "Your parents don't love you because they named you after the devil". And when you here that at 9 or 10, it hurts. ;D

I think I'm a bad influence...
Well little brother (10) got in trouble yesterday at school for going to the bathroom too many times (3). When the teacher asked why he had to go so often, he replied with... "Sorry, I have the prostate of a 55 year old." Thankfully she had a sense of humor.

I'm beginning to agree with that. They also do damage on clear lakes with bluebird skies. I finished second in a T this year (that I really thought I had won > ) on a shallow, crystal clear lake, and we had bluebird skies that day. I had 5 for 11.1 on a spider-grub and fluke, and first had 4 for 13 something. All good sized fish, I think his biggest was 4 so he had all fish over 3. The guy caught them all on a white on white chatterbait. That was a long-ride home.

When do plastics in 'non-traditional' colors work best?
The main reason why those colors are used so much by bed fisherman is so you can see the bait in the bed and you can see the fish eat the bait. i use natural colors that match best to the lakes bait forage in clear water . ill use brighter , unnatural colors ( chartruse , pink , orange , etc.. ) in stained water cause i think the bass can see it from farther away and hone in on it better . Fish in stained water have become acustomed to use their lateral line and sense of smell to hone in on a bait more than they do sight. It can't hurt though.

Tragic Gun Club Accident...
I think that one word sums up this whole tragic "accident" as well as most other "accidents".

Hahaha nice... When I watch movies i usually always go in Imdb.com and look for the errors, goofs, and I like checking out message boards. It is the nerd in me.- RI State Freshwater Records. Which will fall 1st?
O and I heard of 2 fish around 9 (saw 1 pic) coming out of there this year. Next spring when it is flooded I will get my boat in there and will be using swimbaits. Despite all the native trout, it seems like they love the eels in there. All the big fish come on 10-12" worms, old school. 8-) And forget about getting a 10-7, I know there are fish int he 12 pound range in there.- RI State Freshwater Records. Which will fall 1st?
10 minutes of my time, gone to waste.... ;D And Russ, please tell me that is sarcasim....That place has 10 pounders in it, just like how the Indians told the stoires about how it is bottomless and the monster that resides there has a gem inbetween its eyes. (Western Coventry folklore)- Fall bass moving back into the "creeks".....?????
Alan, forget about half the info you read when it comes to applying it to our lakes. You won't usually see largies schooling up and feeding on bait, all that stuff is for the southern guys who get to fish 50,000 acre impoundments with hundreds of creeks feeding into them and such. The best thing you can do this time of year in our little puddles is fish the usual stuff like you would in early spring after ice-out because the fish are moving into their wintering holes right now. And use the same baits like jigs, traps, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits.- Damiki Dark Angel Rods are Available
I will fish with an orange rod, but not one that says "Angel" on it. Thats just a little too much. The best word you could use to describe it was "stupid"? I thought you were more intelligent than that....- BWS Championship
Is that illegal? I remember reading about Woo Daves planting brush piles in the James River, and fishing them during a BASS event. I believe he won the event. Don't know if it is illegal, but he keeps winning.- BWS Championship
Watch for Coble. I don't know if guys are sick of getting beat by him and are sore loosers or what but lots of stories about him planting brush piles in the North Carolina lakes.... :-X- Swansea Fishing
Oh snap, I didn't realize they opened Cookies back up. They shut it down for a year because of ...... :-X Great great jig pond. Some decent smallies in there too.- Stoopid lure name thread
A 2" spook developed by a Japanese bait company, name it Asian Persuasion.- stubborn fall smallies
Get on a wind-blown point or cut, put the TM on high, and go nuts with a jerkbait. If you throw it, they will come. And s mentioned earlier, where there is one there is more. Second choice would be to stare at your electronics and look on off-shore structure for balls of bait. Once you find it, drop the drop-shot down and have fun. Once you find what exactly they are on, run around and find more of them (humps, saddles, ect..)- October Fattie
Nice!!!!! Seems like this year everyone is doing damage on chatterbaits around here.- Titans and Colts...

- Oil Prices Plunge!
RW what is your opinion on this? http://www.cnbc.com/id/27398298- Oil Prices Plunge!
Yup, 2.39 here. It will be $4 or $5 again by next summer :- I got my day in the sun!!
Sweet. Nothing beats a W. 8-)- the year, in review. Let's hear what worked, and what didn't
Everything but 2 things. One was a lipless crank, not nearly as good as years past. It seems like everyone if throwing them up here these days. The other thing was lakes that I would crush fish on spinnerbaits with gold blades, I couldn't buy a fish with. But as soon as I went over to siver blades, BAM! One thing that I did better on this year than years past was a jerkbait. In the cold temps where everyone would throw the lipless and do so-so, I would throw a jerk and do great.- 7' Carrot Stix Spinning & Reel Choice
