  1. All marketing.... I remember when George Cochran caught 99 pounds and won on G-Ville using a KVD Wild Shiner (that had not hit the markets yet). So it got hyped up and sold quick when it came out. But in the video footage it was clearly a Lucky Craft Pointer. I know the color he was using in the Classic he called "Sexy Herring". It is like SK's typical diamong pattern but a dark blue fading to a lighter blue towards the bottom and an orange spot under the bill. All pro's do it though. Just like how Alton Jones won the Classic on Booyah's two new baits. In one piece of footage it clearly looked like he had a Jewel football jig tied on. Who know's, we are all fisherman, and we all lie. ;D
  2. Those are great. Last year I witnessed a guy acctually drive away with the fuel hose and nozzle still connected to his truck. One of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. He put the truck in park after about 50', jumped out and took it out, closed the fuel door, and sped away while the attendant was chasing him.
  3. Sox and Aerosmith, sure you were not born in New England?
  4. Congrats and thank you
  5. 55-60* water isn't too cold for top water in New England, don't know about Tennessee though.
  6. I tried getting that going but not enough interest.
  7. Cyclists own the roads out here. :
  8. CONGRATS!!!!
  9. I hate to reference that commercial Burley... But are you questioning my fan hood? All I need now if a barbed-wire tat. ;D
  10. Disturbed, Steve Miller, Skynyrd, it's all good. I'll even take some rap.
  11. The Pro Top Secret Jigs are all I use now. I usually always trim them up to make them nice and compact. But friends of mine just open the package and fish with them without trimming and they still catch plenty of fish. If I want to keep the rattles and trim up the skirt I will just cut the skirt around the rattles to get it the size I want. They don't get in the way like you would think.
  12. X2; I can get to 4-5' by kneel-n-reeling Paul "Catt" Elias You can fish traps as deep or shallow as you want. When I fish with LBH in that super-clear water I will count it down until it reaches the grass in 12-14' of water and keep snapping it out. It is one of those baits that you can do anything with.

Around here, my go to in spring is a straight black 1/4 oz. jig with a Zoom Super Chunk or Paca Chunk trailer. Trim up the skirt and bite a little off the trailer to make it as compact as possible. It works wonders. 8-)
  14. Might have one more, but I won't give that one away. I'm still looking for the box and manual Dave. >
  15. Unless I was finesse fishing with little baits and catching barely legal fish, I will keep doing what I'm doing.
  16. So....ya, how bout them Rockets???? ;D
  17. First Paris now Jenna. Your the man Robert. Make Russ take me with him next time he goes out there to visit!
  18. Not sure, but if the weather is nice, I would expect close to a full field. We had 34 or 36 last year, hopefully the weather is as nice as last year too.
  19. To blow out the spurs by 2 whole points!!! WOW!!! We'll see how it turns out.......... 8-) KEY WORDS: COME BACK, I never said blow-out. ;D

Has anyone contacted him? He had some great input on things.
  21. This is the best response in 5 pages. YOU CAN'T BORROW YOUR WAY OUT OF DEBT Until people take responsibility for themselves and decide to pay off some debt and live on less than they make, there is not a real solution. Companies are also way too far in debt... "Act your wage!" -Dave Ramsey I agree with both those statements. That is the exact reason the housing went to the toilet. Double morgages for people who cant afford the first one. If you have to borrow your down payment and borrow your house loan. Honestly I dont think you can afford that house. I agree that houses are part of it, but the credit cards and vehicles helped too. Certain people around here are in-danger of loosing their homes but can still go out to dinner all the time and drive brand new cars and SUV's.
  22. Yup, the best tackle/rod storage is in a bass boat. I don't know how I lived before I got mine. But this also leads to buying way too much stuff than you need and becoming really unorganized. I have jig trailers and jigs, EVERYWHERE.
