I'm usually on the water everyday of the week from mid-March to October, then 4 or 5 days a week until the ice comes, most of which is prefishing or just to learn. Also average about 35-40 tourneys a year.

I'm starting to think so. I ordered my 7'3" in October from e21 and didn't get it until Dec 24th. And on Dec 24 it seems like every story began carrying the other models. Now, everyone is running out again :-?

Definatley the first thing that comes to mind is St.Croix Avids. I used them for a while but then picked up a Rogue, then a Kistler, then an Airrus XL, then a Carrot Stix LTX. All about the same price, (I cannot figure out where you guys get Avids for under $120). And well, comparing it to other rods and Croix's customer service, they are just a waste of money in my opinion. The other thing is Lucky Craft lipless cranks. Seriously, what is the difference besides the hooks between a $15 LC and a $3 Rapala or Lewis? I cannot figure that one out. Like comparing a Rico popper to a Pop-R imo.

They catch fish but are constructed poorly imo. Some will sink or not run true out of the box. Eventually everyone I have ever owned did the same, some after 1 fish, some after 20. There are better choices for shallow cranks. Strike King 1s is what I go to now. *Give a spinnerbait a shot too.
