  1. Tubes are always a good choice for smallies and jerbaits this time of year can be a lot of fun. Both should do the trick. Any maps of the lake?

My weekend has already started , already did 3:30-9 at UPS. But now its time. Its 29 degrees at my house, some hot stew would be nice for when I get up.
  3. Thank you to all of those who have ever served our country. For those currently serving, thank you and come home safe.

5/8 oz. standard size bass jig. skirt wasn't trimmed or anything. i was using a bigger chunk at first. strike king makes 3 sizes of the 3x denny brauer chunk i think. i was using the big one, but then i went to the medium size one after after the nips. my buddy tried several jigs. (he tends to switch baits and try to fine tune a little more than me) he used a 1/2 oz. denny brauer pro model, then tried an arkie matrix, then settled on a booyah. all those were 1/2 oz. he used a paca craw for a trailer on all of 'em. We got tons of cold fronts, sometimes 2-4 a week in the spring time and early summer in New England. After a cold front on most days, the fish will just swim off with the 3/8 oz. jig, but they will just have it by the trailer, so you set the hook and you just get the jig or the jig with the trailer pulled down. Dont know if this is what you mean by nipping it or not. So the rule of thumb up here is stay the same size, just go to a 1/4 oz. for the slower fall. MUCH MUCH more productive. The slower fall aprears to make all the difference in the world. So maybe next time go from the 5/8 or 1/2 oz to a 3/8. It works up here anyway
  6. Moderate tip= Treble hook baits
  7. WOW!!! :o Is that braid on that reel? Never seen braid on any of your set ups.
  8. 5.Slow, you need some serious help. I know there is ice on you know where and UPS is crazy but calm down, its Friday. We will make some jigs and take a pilgramige to Bass Pro. Everything will be ok.

Nice report, nicer fish. 8-) You said they were just nipping the jig, what size jig was it?
  10. Thats awsome. Couple fo quality fish too.
  11. I started laughing at the first one and never stopped. ;D
  12. Love it, have some great new games coming out for it too, like the WWE one and the NFL one.
  13. Just a heads up, I'm home during the day because I work weird hours and I while I'm going through the channels I always see the court programs on TV like Judge Judy ect. ect. There are always a couple boat or car cases from ebay and the buying is suing because something doesnt work right or there was information that wasnt disclosed, but the seller always wins because the item is always, "as is" off ebay. So if you are going to do it, be careful.
  14. I will pitch it next to docks or retaining wall, the only reason I will throw do this is because most lakes are so pressured, I like to give the fish something they rarely ever see. I like the drop-shot best when I'm fishing it vertical on bluff banks or bridge pilings/abutments.
  15. Ok, I was wrong. After seeing FishTanks link, English is really going downhill, lol That is disturbing. I'm still considered a teen and dont know 90% of those terms.
  16. If it is a guy I usually fish tournaments against, (RI is so small, you pretty much know everyone who does)I will usually just say, "They aint on today", or something like that to turn them away from one of my spots. If it is a guy out with his kids or someone going out for a good time, I will help them out as much as I can.
  17. As for literature of this era.... previous generations will be known for Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, my generations' will be Harry Potter :
  18. 1. I don't know, I posted this in Tournament Talk, I go back later and it is in this forum. I didn't see all the posts. 2. IT ISNT JUST RI!!! There are several other kids from OTHER STATES that had no clue. As mentioned before the meeting took place in November, that is last month. So what they had 4 months notice instead of 3? Everything was still booked a while ago for most cold weather states.
  19. Lack of capitalization,(at the beginning of a sentence and proper names) lack and misuse of punctuation(periods at the end of sentences), gross misspellings, I could go on and on,
  20. LMAO!!! The everything else forum would contain nothing but talk of the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Bingo.
  21. Funny, were the presidents sworn to secrecey or something. I talked to a bunch of my buddies FROM A LOT OTHER STATES who were going to attend and participate in this years Jr. program and none of them knew of this till yesterday.
  22. Exactly, I can remember in Pittsburgh in 05 all of these people myself and dad included, with a 104 degree heat index taking down tents and working our butts off for 3 hours afters events had ended. While BASS big wigs and those "paid" people were sitting in the AC of the new Tundra's.
  23. OOOOO YA! Here we go, I have sent a TON of emails voice my opinion and what this means to me. Everyone chip in and lets do something for these kids who should get what they have EARNED!
