  1. A 4" or 6" Aquamelon Zoom Lizard with a chartruese tipped tail but the key to it is the 1/32 oz bullet weight and the shallow stumpfields
  2. Speak for yourself, lol. Its been two weeks and I'm climbing the walls, playing with gear, moding rods, and ready to check in to a place that has white padded walls.
  3. For the treble baits liek the Hula Popper and Bug go for a rod with a medium action and fast tip or if you perfer a moderate. For the Kermits, go for the Heavy action. Buzzbaits or single hooked baits go to a medium heavy action. imo
  4. Makes a lot of sense now that you say it.
  5. Congrats!
  6. You really have too have different rods for different lures and presentaions. You can give a topwater or jerkbait a lot more action on certain rods and such. So you can work certain baits better on certain rods. There are also things you have to do with certain lakes. For example if a lake is very clear but has thick cover in certain areas I will have the same bait rigged up on two seperate rods that have different types or strength lines on them. The other big reason is if for follow up baits. I might have a topwater on and get a short strike, so you have to have another rod ready to go with a fluke or stickbait to try get that fish that made the short strike. It is also good to have the same bait rigged up on the another rod when fishing in lakes where smallmouth school up. If you have one on, chances are one, two, or three other smallies will follow it to the boat because they want what the other has. So you flip the initial smallie in the boat, drop another bait in as you are flipping the first and and try to get one of the other 3. It is more common than you think on certain bodies of water and it is soooooo much fun. lol And finally, as I have mentioned before in tourneys, time is everything, so I might have the same jig rigged up on 3 different rods, just so when I'm fishing something specific and might just happen to break it off I dont need to get another one out and retie, I just pick up another rod.

I'm thinking in Pennsylvania in the same area that big foot was sighted :
  8. Definatley the best buy for $100, but with a rebate that Citica is hard to beat. Either one you would be pleased with.
  9. What is the transom rated for HP wise? Will you be running both at the same time or trolling with one? Will you exceed the weight limit on the capacity plate?
  10. Ok, I'm one of the nuts that is 75% a tournament guy. From April to November I'm fishing atleast 2-3 tourneys a week and the rest of the week I'm usually pre-fishing or "paying my dues". The rare times on not doing on of the two I'm just having a good time with LBH or Matt 5.0 out fun-fishing. I have to say I really miss just being able to go out and not have to worry who has what in their well and to be where at wha time and what not. But now it is just in my blood. I started competitive bass fishing as a sophmore in high school 4 years ago and just started living for compitition. Even before tournament fishing I was fishing 5 days a week out of a Coleman Crawdad with 3 rods and a few plano boxes of tackle. We would just cover about 200 acres of a local 600 acre pond and we learned soooooo much. I realized that when I joined thr RI Jr. Bassmaster program and I ened up winning a spot for the B.A.S.S. National Championship in 04'. When I went down to the Classic it just hit me, wow what a way to make a living! Now it is just a goal to be able to fish one Bassmaster Classic in my lifetime. And I wont let something like $$$ stand in my way. Whatever "tool" I need to ge the job done, I will buy. Since then, I have a bought a 17' BassTracker and at any given time it probably has 8 set-ups and a minumum of $500 worth of jigs and trailers in it alone. And I absolutley love it. But there were days after a tournament I just wanted to sell my boat and quit bass fishing because in the early stages it was getting frustrating. And it seemed like I was wasting my time and money. But now I'm in a position where I am consistantley in the $$$$ in tournaments and it is just an amazing feeling. So I can spend more in on the things I need and fish higher entry fee tournaments. Modified b/c I must have misunderstood the question. :-[
  11. The last half of that game reminded me on last years playoff game with the Pats and Chargers. The Pats didnt win that game, the Chargers lost it on stupidity, just like the Raven last night. Then just like LT and the rest of the Chargers did, in the postgame interviews the Ravens blamed it on the refs and how the NFL wants New England to win, and blah blah blah. NO, your team just let their emotions get the best of them and blew the game on stupid penalties! Yes I can see some of the issues, like Gaffney"s "reception" but either way, if it wasnt complete, the Pats still would have had 2 or 3 more chances to get the ball in the endzone. Who knows....
  12. In RI on some of our heavily pressured bodies of water senkos just dont work like they used to. I think the fish have figured them out. Tourneys are FINALLY being won again on jigs and other plastics, for about 2 years, every tournament was being won on a senko. It was getting frustrating because people who could never catch fish before would give everyone a whoopin on them. As soon as this happened, it seemed like EVERYONE in the state started throwing them. I remember at one point, both Dicks Sporting Goods, Sports Authorities, and most bait shops in the state were just about out of senkos or the selection was really picked over. But this year, the senko guys didnt do so well and it seems like the stickbait craze is dying off. :o Anyone notice that Yamamoto senkos are not as soft as when they first came out? They used to have a completely different feel.
  13. 1. Make your own-I would highly recommend worth the work 8-) 2. http://www.sunrizetackle.com/shop/closeout_body.htm -50 QUALITY fish catching machine jigs for $30, where can you go wrong??? 3. Terminator Pro Top Secret from ***.com $1 cheaper there than anywhere else I have found, and imo best jig on the market.
  14. .... Wow, another crazy game. Amazing though, if they beat the Steelers next week they go undefeated in the Regular season. Tom Brady, greatest QB under pressure EVER! Wasn't big on Rodney Harrison talking smack to Brian Bellick though, found it very disrespectful, laughed when Bellick just kissed at him though.
  15. Use the AC66MF for the jerks and all of your treble hooked baits. Thats what I like a 6'6" MF rod for anyway.

This year was the year of the rat-l-trap for me. I used them more than ever before and they never let me down. Whenenver you need to get fish in the boat they are a great way to cover water and get a few reaction bites. I caught a lot of quality 2-4 pound fish on them this year, and a bunch over 4, my PB LM on them this year was 5.4 in April with 42 degree water teps and two weeks later in a tourney I caught a 3.57 Smallie on them. Chrome with the black or blue back are the two I go with.
  17. LMAO! I'm sure that is in no way to attract young voters. Ya know, Chunk Norris once won a starring contest against the sun.
  18. Watching sportcenter and the ESPN Poll was if the BCS got it right about the two teams playing in the National Championship. Well 48 states voted no, can you guess which two states voted yes??? lol ;D

Well does Hawai'i prove they are not a joke against Georgia or what?
  20. Thats what I was thinking. If these things were not charged 30 minutes would do nothing, and seeing as though he "careless" he probably doesnt always keep them charged so therefore whatever charge they get probably doesnt hold. Just my $.02
  21. Same here, any team could beat any other team on any given day. Also showed BCS is garbage because there is no way to really rank teams when every team has atleast one loss, with the exception of one that got no respect what so ever.
  22. Navionics are great, but in certain RI lakes are not reliable, and if you use them to navigate on certain lakes like most you will loose your lower unit. I still think one of the best maps out there are the HotSpot series.
  23. Ok it all depends where the fish are. As an example, if there are fish suspended in the middle of 10' I will go to the original series because it gets down to 5'. But besides that if I'm fishing water than 8 feet I will go to the dd series. And for shallow water, 2-4 feet, I will go to the slender series. As for colors, my personal favorite that will catch fish anywhere Ghost Tennesse Shad
  24. there is also some sort of GULP! minnow that also works on a drop shot from what I hear. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I wasnt gonna tell him about that. lol.
  25. Whats depths are you fishing? What is the type and average size of forage is in the lake? Water clarity? I would recommend against it unless someone shows you how because you can ruin a $15 bait.
