That was my question to the Loomis guy at an FLW expo. The explanation he gave me was so that you could work typical smallie baits (that are usually LIGHT 1/8 or lighter) like a grub, tube, and shakey heads, without compremising feel and sensitivity. I would really recommend them if you are going to fish plastics like the 3 stated above, thats what I have used them for and was impressed.

Funny you post that, I was checking out that school and considering transferring down there next year. And just wait, the difference from high school to college is crazy! It's awsome, 13th grade with freedom. But with comes a lot more responsibilities, like for you to take time on your own and learn outside of class, which can be very difficult for some.

And the Pack and Cowgirls Monday night. o well The NHL started doing this too after the lock-out. Just attend a Bassmaster Classic weigh-in or a Forrest L. Wood Championship, you walk out with so many clothes, hats and other things you have will have a different tee-shirt hat and key chain for all 365 days of the year. It is crazy the $$$ they must spend for things like that they just give away, but its advertising for them.

Yup, they definatley hold it longer. And instead of the ticks or thumps you feel with a jig, I usually notice my line just take off or it gets really heavy.
