Trilene Sensation
Dont waste your dollar. Also, ever think of why it would cost only $1? Spend the extra $$$ and go with a better line. Sure it is cheap, but is it worth loosing fish over?-My experience anyway.

Crankbaits - What's the deal?
For bumping laydowns just stick to a square billed crank and you will be fine. And seeing as it is getting cold out, try a good old bagley balsa be, it has a great wobble for the cold water.

Strike King Cranks
Love the sexy shad, have it in the Red Eye Shad and the series 1 crank. Strike King cranks are the very first artificial I ever started fishing, I primarily stick to the series 1s, which I use for more of a small wake bait, series 1 which seem to tempting to most fish, the series 3 has treated me well, and the series 4s. I like the 4s but I have had issues with them coming out of the package and taking on water. So they dont float and dont run right. That would be my only complaint about strike king cranks. We really dont have water deep enough to crank with the 4-6 series so cant comment on those. The Red Eye shad and Diamond Shad are also great for lipless cranks, they do the same exact thing as other lipless baits for a third the price.

A sad, depressing fishing story (maybe not) HELP!
You dont have to fish wood with a jig, a jig can be fished anyway on anytype of stucture. Since you have grass and hydrilla, go to a jig that is made for grass fishing. Like a grassmaster or a jig that has a bullet type head and where you tie the knot inline with the hook. It will come through the grass fine. Hydrilla ( which is the grass that gets matted on the bottom foot or two right? Dont have that in RI) Go to a light jig like an 1/8 that will rest on top of the mat of grass on the bottom. Also try a larger worm on the shakey head, you might not get as many fish but they should be bigger, rule of thumb most the time bigger bait = bigger fish

Did the right thing, but feel bad for him. He is probably going to get tormented by his buddies now for getting beat up by a cheerleader.

36v and cranking on 3 batteries?
I do not know if I would carry an extra battery. You should be good with just a set of jumper cables. Just unhook the other batteries before you jump. If you are going to carry the extra battery. Just hook it up to the outboard. If you just let it sit until you need it. It will be dead when you need it. ' Another option is to extend your outboard leads to that compartment. This way you will have two separate systems. Daaaaaaaaah! Didnt even think of that. Solves my issue

36v and cranking on 3 batteries?
Come to think of it, last year I ran the 24 volt and the outboard on the two Everstart 29's along with other accessories and never had any issues. Whenever I went to crank it would always turn. Except when the ex-girl hit the key to run and we didnt notice, it drained them REAL quick, lol. It was also one of my reasons for dumping her, lol. ;D ;D ;D ;D

36v and cranking on 3 batteries?
Dougherty, thats how I was planning on it. My buddy's Ranger with a 36v trolling motor and outboard are wired like that on 3 batteries. Thanks for the input, just have to keep it in the back of my mind or an extra cranking in one of my compartmens with a set of jumpers.

Free Spooling
Not always. You have to learn when the bait has the angle and will skip and when it will just hit the water and you will have a nest to pick out. I always have the magnetic brake all the way up, it might take away but it can save you too, and the tension adjusted to the weight of the jig, so if it hits the water it wont over-run.

36v and cranking on 3 batteries?
Ok I'm going to be purchasing a 36v Minn Kota for my tin. I currently have 3 Everstart Maxx Marine-29's in my boat right now, 2 I use for my current 24v Motor Guide, and one for cranking the outboard. Can I get away with just running the 36v and the outboard off these three. I have no more room in the back for another battery because of the onbaord charger and the big gas tank. My main concern is I just always want to be able to turn the key and go. I really need to go big and with the 36v 101 because most RI lakes are trolling motor only and the ones that aren't we have to deal with waves, either via boat traffic or because of wide open windy lakes. I just want to see if its ok before I buy the new motor.

Gloves for cold weather fishing?
I HATE wearing gloves while fishing, so the only gloves I will tolerate have to be very subtle without any stiffness at all (which rules out neoprene and many of the "fishing" gloves sold). Same here, I usually just use the Mechanix gloves or the Hot Hands packs in my pockets.

Fishing Book?
I would say this is a lot of pro's do this but it is how they make a living besides fishing. Being a professional fisherman seems like it isnt just being able to fish but also being a salesman. I realized this after going to a few Bassmaster University clinics, you walk out thinking that you can only catch fish on a few certain baits or you should use only certain other products. : : But I wouldnt want to tell people my all "secrets and tips" if I was in a business where it could come back to bite me. I would just read between the lines and pull the usefull information out.

Locating Bass--no electronics
I also use those "transmission" baits like jigs and c-rigs. You can learn so much about a lake with these baits and a sensitive rod. (Like that new avid you just bought). After you find that off-shore stuff, if the fish dont dont hit that slow bait go for reaction strikes with a lipless crank or a spinnerbait.

Fishing Book?
The best thing you can do is be out on the water. Reading up is a great way to learn but nothing can be time on the water and being extremely observant, paying attention to detail, and being aware of your surroundings. So quit hogging the computer and go fishing!!!!

to the bait monkey

A sad, depressing fishing story (maybe not) HELP!
When I'm fishing heavily pressured bodies of water that have big bass potential my go to is always a shakey head or a Hula Grub/Spider Jig. If you have a hard bottom or vegetation matted on the bottom, I will usually go to an 1/8oz or 1/16oz. shakey head with a 4-7 inch finesse worm on 8 lbs flouro. Good example of this is KVD catching an 11+ largie in an Elite Series Event a few years back on Lake Lewisville outside of Dallas which is a really really pressured body of water. Second choice: If there is a lot of vegetation I will throw a 4 or 5 inch twin tail hula grub on a 1/4 oz. jig head with a brush guard.

Patriots Still Perfect
Just saw a thing on the news, the New York Post keeps an asterix next to the Pats in the Sports Section, in NFL Standings and underneith it says, Caught Cheating. I think they are just adding fuel to the fire.
