In winter time around here thats what we have to do to find the fish. Just idle around in areas that are deeper than the rest of the lake and watch the graphs. It seems like every fish in the lake gets stacked up in a few areas. It can get really frustrating too, seeing all those fish on the graph but they wont touch a thing. Just stick with it and give them those little things they cant resist, like a spoon or a jerkbait suspending right infront of their face.

Cold clear water is the toughest to fish for me, the worst conditions to fish in are the typical April and May cold-fronts that come through New England. At the start of the day it is usually 60* with heavy rain and 10-20 from the north, by the end of the day it is 40* with 20-30 from the north. The fishing isnt always bad it is just the conditions.

With frogtog on this one, find the bait. They are probably somewhere in that main channel and have shallow water nearby. Find the bait with your electronics and then go with a silver buddy or rat-l-trap and locate the bass.

I think I just wet myself....LOL Dont laugh, he is really like this. Once in a tourney, he caught 1 bass, 7 pickeral, and 4 pike and weighed them all in as his 5 fish limit.

Ok recentley picked up some Optimum Suspending Swimbaits that come with trebles. I think they are a little heavy for a 6'6" moderate action cb rod and because of the trebles I dont feel comfortable throwing it on a 7' heavy rod because they might tare. So what type action rod with what tip? thanks
