  1. Not too much, 40 hp 2-stroke mercury. Spent about $15 a weekend depending if I was fishing electric ponds or no, which is about 4-5 gallons. So probably about 65-75 gallons this year.
  2. Stafford, Watchuag, Wash, and Tiogue have the good smallie populations. Watchaug and Stafford are the best two. Wallum is a fun pond, can be a little tough but average smallie is about 1.75, and is one of the last lakes in RI that will give out a limit of smallies. Beach has some too. Both of these lakes are very clear and can be brutal to fish. Nearby Mass ponds like Wester and South Wattupa have great smallie populations too. Johnsons????? Something I dont know. I didnt think 2 smallies in 5 years counted as a smallie pond. lol
  3. Cutters. Dont like fire around it, just personal preference.
  4. Favorite time of year, Jigs, Traps, and Jerks. Plus if you find one, you find twenty
  5. Abu Revo's BFG All-terrains-Mud terrains coming next Lucky Craft Pointers Minn Kota 36 volt 101, will make the tin get up on pad from the front kn cold air intakes and flowmasters Lowrance electronics I'll let you know about the carrot stix when they get here...
  6. Funny you say that youngbassmaster, I fish a lake that has a river flowing in and it pushes water out onto this 25 acre sand flat with 2-4 feet on it. To the right is a large lily field that you can crush largemouth on, and if you turn around and fish the flat swimming a jig or burning a trap you load the boat with smallies. Hundreds of miles away, same areas, and same results. lol
  7. Rudolph still lives. lol. Hopefully that river wont be freezing anythime soon.
  8. I think you jinxed it lol, 21 unanswered points by the Colts, 23-21. But its starting to rain, Peyton might melt, to used to playing in the RCA dome. ;D
  9. tin2win, isnt that your sister at the end?- Yup, so Watch it... lol
  10. Die hard Pats fan, but would really love to see Farve make it make to the superbowl. Maybe a past superbowl rematch is in order.
  11. It's nice to see an underdog win. But when you live in New England, its impossible to root for anyone else. I would like to see some different teams break out this year (Titans, Green Bay, even the Bucs are a top the nfc south). Most teams from New England wont be an underdog this year though , it seems like Boston will be title-town this year, lol. Red Sox=World Series, Patriots=Best team of all time???, Celtics are still 5-0, Bruins, ahhh still waiting on. Heck even the New England Revolution (MLS) are in the finals. lol. It's a good year to live up here
  12. 4 more years! Thats what I keep telling myself, I'll be out of college and living on one of the lakes on the Coosa River chain. Leaning towards Neely Henry in Gadsden, Alabama. Was down there fishing in the FLW Jr. World Championship 2 years ago and fell in love with the place. Even though smallies are more fun than spots, I still loved every second of it. No ice, decent weather, cant wait. Until then its skiing, changing all the hooks on my baits, PS3, movies, and figuring out which tourney's I'll be fishing. Matt 5.slow, I think today was the deciding day, I'm definatley out of Rhode Island soon.
  13. Well I realized today that winter had arrived. My compartments were frozen shut, the motor was tough to get going, there was frost all over my front deck. When I left this morning the temo was 30*, when I pulled out at 2:30 the temp was 38*, lol. And the water is down into the mid to low 40's. There is no warm up in sight and the nights are only going to get colder. So needless to say the ice will be in soon. > Any good new video games out for PS2, PS3, or Nintendo Wii???? ;D
  14. For fighting fish I pretty much do the same thing. Only I don't drop the tip of my rod below the surface. I fish the fish according to what type of bait I'am throwing and what pound test. If I'm thorwing a jig and have the braid on. I know I can horse them. If I'm throwing a crankbait, rat-l-trap, or am finesse fishing. I take it real easy and let the fish do what he wants for the most part, because trebles can tare easily and finesse fishing= light line. When it comes to hook sets. On texas rigs, jigs, or frogs I set it really good. For wacky rigs, and spinnerbaits, I just kinda give a little snap and start reeling. On baits with trebles, I found the fish usually sets the hook themself, and all I do is just real up on them and keep the pressure on. I used to try to set the hook with cranks and such, but I found I just ripped holes in the fishes mouth. I have been much more successful in keeping the fish hooked up with treble baits since learning the hard way.
  15. Dont worry about loosing one fish, its all good. I have already noticed a lot of mistakes I make by watching LBH's videos. It's a good tool to learn from. In LBH's fall feed video there was a nice fish that snaps me off, about ten minutes later that day I had another bigger fish do the same exact thing to me, only this time I knew what to do and she ended up coming into the boat. Just dont make the same mistake twice and always learn from them.
  16. Awesome video as usual, glad you stuck with the song too. I had the the honor of being able to participate in this event with a paralyzed service man and it was an amazing and educational experience. I would advise anyone who has an PVA event close to their area to volunteer or participate in one. It is just an all around amazing experience that will have an effect on you in some way. I cant wait to help out at these events next year, just a great time and Bill Decoteau is a great host and has such a passion for these events. Like I said, cant wait till next year.
  17. Crestliner, something tells me you fish either Quabbin or Candlewood. lol.
  18. Can't find the link to that story, but on the local news website, in the top stories, 4 are about recalls due to lead paint.
  19. Saw it on the news today, some new kids toys coming from China have a substance in them similar to the Date Rape drug. This is starting to get really scary now. Not just lead anymore.
  20. Instead of the spook, try gettin some confidence in that buzzbait. lol. Anyway, I like the trilene or palomar.
  21. Awsome! Wish we had little lakes like that around here near my house. O ya, get that rod tip up!!! lol, nice job though.
  22. I had a bad case of Didaskaleinophobia senior year of high school. aka senioritis. So I would just tow the boat to school, drop of my sister and leave.

It's a sad world we live in. :'(
  24. Ok, just do everything in half. Half for the entry fee, any money you split in no matter what. If you win a boat, I would sell it and split whatever you sold it for. From my experiences, if its a 10 fish limit, chances are when you weigh in fish it wont be even. You may have caught 7 and your partner gets 3 or visa versa, its usually not 5 and 5, lol. That day, usually one of you is on them, the other one if the net guy.

Ok ordered a few from Mattlures. A couple in the baby bass version and a couple in the perch color. Might have to wait till next year. The fish aren't feeding tooo much. They are just on real shallow wood, so the jig is the go to bait right now.
