  1. Flipping a Zoom Super Hog or an *** Beaver Craw with a 1/4 oz screw-in sinker, and a gamy superline hook on 65 pound braid
  2. WRB- Just an example about bait and the types of lakes we have up here. There is only 1 lake left in RI where you can still get into and have a good time. This is an example of the water clarity, it doesnt get deeper than 6 feet, there is NO off-shore structure. And as soon as the pads die all you can do is fish the retaining walls and laydowns.
  3. WRB-When you are fishing lakes that are only 7 feet deep at the most (Which are the only lakes I can getting into because of winter draw-downs) is there a thermo-cline??? And the clostest power-genarated lake is probably a few hundred miles away.
  4. In Rhodey now, its all about the Gore-tex, Jigs, Husky Jerks, Rat-L-Traps, and the ???? Pond @ the Park! Not too mention being able to sleep late or until it warms up to 38* anyway. Cant wait to get a bass in the boat with a few inches of snow on the deck
  5. You get what you pay for. If you dont have the $350 for a cabelas guidewear suit or BPS 100 MPH Wear it's ok. It will get you through. But they just dont compare to gore-tex Its worth every penny.
  6. Brail on drive-thru ATM's? Why are there inter-states in Hawaii?
  7. Don Shula wants an asterix put next to the New England Patriots if they go undefeated this season because of the "Spygate" scandal. Just like what MLB is planning on doing to Barry Bonds and the home run record because of steroids. I thought this whole video tape cheating thing was only the first game. What does it have to do with the other 15 games? Is this crazy or it is just me?
  8. It seems like the fish are moving into their winter patterns up here, the water temp has dropped down into the upper 40's low 50's and it is supposed to get much colder in next few days. I have noticed the that the baitfish that were in shallow rivers and coves have now moved out.
  9. Hickory creek- if it has laydowns and current with a jig. or as avid said, mainlake points with a trap. Also try dragging a football jig down them to. find some little boulders or something on the points that might hold fish on that point.
  10. If you are going out of Gadsden near the railroad bridge and the 3 other bridges you dont even have to crank the big motor. Just fish to the right of the ramp, follow it all the way down till you stop catching fish. There are a few very little coves that you can bang out 5-10 keepers in an hour or so. Then when you get to the end go across to the bank that has the warm water discharge building. Follow that back down towards the ramp. Fish all the rip rap and all the small coves. They are shallow but I fished an FLW Event there in July with 88 degree water and it was loaded with fish.
  11. Seeing as though we are sharing "why we believe in ghosts" My grandmothers house was built in 1732, was used for a few funerals and such. But before she bought it a nurse and her husband lived there, she ended up dissapearing, legend has it he killed her and cemented her body in the oven in the basement. We lived there for a little while and experienced the usual stuff. lol. Can openers and microwaves magically turning on at 2am. In January when there is a foot of snow and its 15 degrees out all the upstairs windows in the house would be open. Just crazy stuff. The chandelere in the living room always moves and jingles on its own. The two really crazy things I have witnessed are a gallon of milk that was in the middle of the table flying off and crashing into the wall and milk going everywhere. The other being a little toy I used to play with when I was younger, the type of toy you push and there is a clear bubble where balls pop up and down. It was always on top of a toy chest and one night my grandmother was awakened to the sound of that thing popping like someone was pushing it. Needless to say she woke up and there was no one around and the toy was in the other room.
  12. There is NEW ENGLAND, Indy. What about the Jags and Titans? But December 9th against the Pats and the December 16th game against the Jags will be great games and a real test to see how good they are.
  13. I know at the 2007 Classic in Birmingham they were filming parts for it.
  14. Those jointed rebels swim in an S motion like you were saying vs. the rapalas. They were all I threw when I first started fishing. ahhhh the memories.

2.95 average in RI > I just dont get it.. the fuel is already in the ground at the gas station, so why does gas the price go up day by day? its not like every station has a fuel truck there every day? It just stinks that its out of our control and we cant do anything about it. I think I'll just start going to work via dogsled once the snow starts falling.
  16. PM I got a few around. Or live up north? Shovel snow You'll be able to have a few loomis's with revo's on them by the time the ice is out
  17. Bar Bait?? Where can I find some? I have red squirrel issues. >
  18. Looks great! Are you planning on carpeting it?
  19. Go shallow with a watermelon colored jig along the rock shores, take a right out of the ramp and you'll see them way down on the right. Its a little bit of a weird lake, it is clear but fishing shallow has always been really productive for me. It is another typical New England lake though, it can be amazing or it can be brutal. Good luck

I like the grassmaster jigs from, I want to say they are made by all-terrain tackle. They have a fairly weedless head. Put this way, you are pulling grass off the head of the jig about every 6 or 7th flip instead of every flip like most jigs. The only time I usually trim weed guards ever is when I'm fishing grass. Besides that I leave them alone. When it comes to rattles, anything that helps the fish find the bait is always a good thing Bass XL: With that type a head with the "Jig-X" where the spot for the knot is recessed into the head, can you still tie a regular palomar? If you did it looks like the jig would swim and ho to the side or something.
  21. Aqua views come in handy when you drop them in the water... lmao
  22. Candlewood, Pachaug, Moodus, and Amos are all good fall ponds.
  23. Cabelas in East Hartford is open and BPS is supposed to open November 14th.

Awsome set-up! Good luck with it.
  25. Its one of those things you will regret, trust me! My step dad had a big koi poind made in our front yard about 5 years ago and started with a few koi. I started putting tons of shiners in and before you knew it if I had to guess there was about hundred or so shiners in there. So I ended up putting two small 10 inch bass in there and a few small 5 inch brook trout. In less than a month and a half there were no shiners left. Two days later the trout were gone, then the bass died. It is just crazy how they can eat. You will go broke, the tank will be absolutley nasty, and its just a bad idea.
