  1. The fact is the English language is always evolving and changing. Look at the first stories written in English by Chaucer. The stories have been TRANSLATED through the ages so they can be understood. Mind you they were originally written in ENGLISH. Anyone ever try to read original untranslated Shakespeare? It's impossible to read, yet it is in English and only 400 years old. It has nothing to do with laziness or people being uneducated, its just things change. Other cultures and pop culture are always influencing our language, especially music and the internet. And when one of the other big ways of communicating is the internet, it is a lot easier to type TTYL instead of talk to you later. Call it laziness or whatever you want to call it, but it is acctually progression.
  2. I'am laughing out loud.
  3. So can Barry Bond's special skin cream And if anyone asks, you dont know whats in it. Sorry, couldnt resist.
  4. Wow Russ! You must be making your drivers helper do all the work and your sitting in the truck eating. Last week you werent that chubby. :-?
  5. I always dreamed of fishing in a Bassmaster Classic and everything but after this, I will head over to FLW perminatley. ESPN has absolutley destroyed the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and all the work Ray Scott did. Its all about the money, just depressing. I mean come on! What else can be said, this is sooo bad.
  6. ????Huh :-? He is an amazing player and he has matured a lot since his early days. Your telling me you wouldnt want him on your favorite team? Its all about the #'s
  7. ESPN supports things that make money for them. Unfortunatley KIDS are not one of them, so they dont care. END OF STORY.

  11. Did everyone go crazy buying shovels, milk, and bread like they do in RI? ;D
  12. mmmm.... All those Harry Potter Boxes look familiar, I think I know who loaded that today because turquoise was slow :
  13. In the clearer water, the olive/copper is just crazy. It's been a "New England" bait for a while.
  14. Anytime, anywhere there are rocks you can slam the bait into, any crawfish imintation color. Just cant go wrong with them.
  15. Yup not only are State Feds and families loosing money but I mean come on, when I was going, if someone told me nope, change of plans, I would have been devistated! I might have just said forget it and stopped fishing. I feel sooooo bad for these kids and there families. Even though it is still on, it will be nothing like it used to be. Just the Classic Atmosphere was unlike anything else, the oppurtunity to fish with your hero, the winners going on stage and getting driven around the arena on the final weigh in day. Just sad. :'( It is just one thing after another and I see more states going over to FLW/TBF.
  16. In very bad taste imo, 3 months before, after all travel arrangements and such are made, B.A.S.S. "canceled" this years 2008 Junior Bassmaster World Championship. Instead it will be fish along with the Federation Nation Championship in November to go along with its whole "grass roots" movement. Wow, is that a way to smash a kids dreams who always wanted to fish with a KVD or Mike Iaconelli or what? Just plain wrong if you ask me. >
  17. It was against the Dolphins!!!!!!
  18. LMAO!... and dont blame it on the weather.
  19. It must be something about that name, thats my sis's name and she a die-hard. She thinks nothing of doing 70 in a boat on a 40* morning.
  20. No, they wont beat the Dolphins till the 23rd. :) :)
  21. Lol, Video camera on the Patriots side. Wasnt that 12 straight wins ago?
  22. Pats are out to prove the last two games were flukes. Moss and Wes Welker will come back big after last weeks sub-par performance and Maroney is due for a big game running the ball. 45-20
  23. For fishing that thick grass and timber, you cant beat braid. Like you said, no stretch, thinner diameter, abrasion resistance is amazing, it is also very sensitive, IMO you dont get as many backlashes, and on a reel with a mono-backing it is fine. After I put the braid on, I tie on a hook, set the hook into an immovable object, walk away until all the braid is out, then put a lot of tension on it and reel it in. So I have no issues with it on the spool, but dont do it so tight that it cuts down into the line already on the spool or casting will be tough. The only issue is with knot tying, if you are flipping with a hook that doesnt have a completely closed eye, on the hookset the knot can slip down to where the eye has an opening and the hook and line will seperate. Only happened to me once though.
  24. Winter can sometimes be fun if there is enough snow. Like 531 inches at Jay Peak a few years back.
