20-100' with a drop-shot. My record is a smallie out of 104 with on a buoy, she was in about 80'. The last tournament on Erie, that Jackall pro won on smallies in 50-60' suspended over 100'.

I don't know about yours but the stuff at the one I go to will have dust on top of it and the same goes for Wal Mart. Seems like a lot of the line they sell is old and loaded with memory. The last roll of Seaguar I bought there flew off the spool and slinkied up on me. I know a lot of others in my area who won't buy line from either one either. Where as I buy Seaguar from TW it is as limp as it flouro can be.

The BCR 852 GLX is a medium extra-fast rod. I picked up this exact rod for shakey heads. From what I've heard, it's great for this technique. I'm not sure about drop-shot though. Dam, I looked up the 853, my B. Forget everything I just said.

When are you leaving? Gotta do some fishing and buying before you take off... I start work in June, but my whole month of May is ridiculous. That 8+ I had pop off wasn't skinny, lol. After watching the video I seriously couldn't move or keep up with that fish. Worst part was I had her on for about a minute before the video started and missed her good jump. I think I had her hooked in the side of the face, if she had eaten it I bet one of the 28 hooks would have kept her buttoned up. Oh well, I will get another, lol.
