Females on Bassmasters
Men are the targets and sex sells. Just think of how she is portrayed in those Go Daddy commercials. Well that is true in the case of Go Daddy. That also supports my point, Go Daddy probably wouldn't have picked a man for this approach. I don't pretend to know if they had this strategy before or after aligning with Danika. They may have had a different approach if they were aligned with a male driver, or they may have had this strategy and were looking for the right woman to come along. I don't think that sex is the strategy of all her sponsors, nor do I think a woman angler would need to use that approach to acquire sponsors. This is one advantage, though not the one I was thinking of when I made the previous post. My point is there are a lot of reasons a company would chose to sponsor an individual (or not). I don't personally see being a female as a disadvantage in the area of sponsorships. How is it not an advantage to have a very attractive women who competes in a sport loved by males to sell their tires, trucks, clothing, or watches? All products mostly purchased by males. Would they have an unattractive woman pushing these products or Billie Jean King? :

Celiac Disease sucks!
I have the exact opposite problem most days and all the ulcers are in my upper intestine and esophagus so I puke non stop. And the valves on my stomach are shot. They tested me non stop for Celiacs because it was in my family. Obviously 4 blood drawings are not enough. When they thought I had it I seriously lived off these super expense protein shakes. And it is useless to try to go out to a restuarant. I feel for you Tr20.

Celiac Disease sucks!
They tested me a lot for Celiac's and it ended up being the Crohn's. They had me on a die hard rice and protein diet and I'm still on it now for the Crohns. In the past year I have been up to 240 pounds because of the steroids and when sick 160-170. I'm know 200. > I know EXACTLY what you mean by the B12 issues though and missing fish. I take a B12 and B6 supplement along with a Calcium, Vitamin D, Folic Acid, and C supplement along with a regular vitamin and living off Vitamin Water (10 calorie). I missed so many fish on plastics and the jig last year it was pathetic and frustrating. Only Weds I missed 6 fish on the jig, all 6 just about ripped the rod out of my hand and I didn't know what to do and missed them. F'n sucks and is costing me $$$$. I'm also really anemix as well with all the internal bleeding, does Iron help at all and what supplements are you on?

Fishing in the wind
Granted Beaufort Scale is meant to be on the open water not a 200 acre lake but that would mean I was in 1.5 to 3 footers in a 17 foot Tracker and would love to see you run 55 mph over them. Then again I would like to see a Stratos 375 go 55 mph. The purpose of this was to show that you can fish in the wind and run a trolling motor when it is windy. Guys drag tubes with 3/4oz heads, drop shot, throw heavy spinnerbaits, and big jerkbaits. It is very possible and a lot of people do it.

Fishing in the wind
Come fish what we deal with in New England and on the Great Lakes. They are called 101 36 volt motors. Most of our lakes have a constant sea breeze from March until June and we deal with 15 o 30 mph winds all the time. It is just a part of fishing. You put on the biggest motor you can, put the nose in the wind, crank the brakes and spool tension up, and go. We just picked up a 101 for our 18' Stratos because of wind issues and there are only 6 or 7 lakes in the state where you can turn the key on a motor over 9.9. This Pic doesn't do it justice but this is on Indian Lake which is about 5 miles from Gansett Bay. This was in easily 25 mph and there were lots of white caps. It is only a 250 acre lake but we do it on our one 1000 acre puddle as well. Ask Matt 5.0 about it, LOL. I swapped armatures out on the TM and turned a 50 pound thrust into an 80 on my 17 foot Tracker. Worst comes to worst you do drifts with drift socks. We have some lakes that are very narrow and almost river lake and are fishable in 40-50mph winds. We don't have much in the way of hills either so it is not like a wind tunnel where the lakes are situated.

Abu Garcia Vengeance rod
Not yet. I really liked the rod and it was the first time I have had an issue with a Abu product. It just seems like the reel seat was super glued on and after winching in some fish it became loose and eventually broke. Whatever, worth the gamble and hoping of finding another good cheap rod. I still love my Revo's. Just by looking at the rod I didn't think it would hold up like I wanted it to. The specs were all good on it, it was a 7' H and I was just planning on using it for pitching jigs.

Fishing in the wind
Like I said north of the Line, lol. And I don't know how the wind translates into places with current where you fish.

When does TOPWATER start?
55* and above I can usually get the smallies to choke on the Spook and largies to eat a buzzbait.

Help with flippin light jigs
I would do the opposite and stay away from braid and that Bitsy Bug. It has a light wire hook that will bend right out. Go with the Bitsy Jig, it has a heavier wire hook so you won't have issues.

Fishing in the wind
Clear cold rocky lake + wind + jerkbait = Lots of smallies (North of the Mason Dixon any way)

Worst thing about the warm weather
People need to stop using this annoying pic, I see it every where. And Burley stop looking at AJ.

Realy bad taxidermy!
On second look they definitely look like Florida fish. Skinny with huge heads.

HAMMERED THEM AGAIN!
Nice, it was on like that a few weeks ago down here. Now the bite has really died in most lakes. I love that opening ice-out fury.

Anyone here not enjoy sight fishing??
Yes, I can never seem to be able see and look for the bigger fish in deeper water. lol If they are in 4' or less I can get them, any deeper or in lakes that don't have much visibility I'm in trouble. Spawn tournies are my biggest weakness. I enjoy sight fishing more than any other type of fishing because you can see the fish eat and learn new things about presentations.

Fishing in the wind
The wind is a fisherman's best friend 99% of the time. Makes locating them easier and the less visibility makes them more..courageous shall we say.

This'll prob. get deleted, but...
Because you loose speed and a hole shot. :

A new phenomenon for 2010...
One of my favorite things in tournaments is how everyone looses only fish 3 pounds or bigger. It doesn't matter if you had one 12" fish lost a 1.5 fish at the boat that would have given you an extra half pound to win the T or come in higher. It's always a 3,4,5, or 6 pound fish that was lost. ;D

beginner needs some advice
Running in the driveway right and not in the water, back pressure or nasty gas after it was ran a while.

Abu Garcia Vengeance rod
The Vendetta fell apart after 3 days of jig fishing with only 30 pound braid. (Reel seat broke off LOL). I bet the Vengeance wouldn't last a day. It's the first bad Abu product I have bought and I understand why they were not used in the Classic.
