The x rap is great looking in the water, but I only caught one fish on it in 4 outings. I switched to a pointer and now average about 4 on it per outing. I am not saying the x rap is a bad bait, but I just couldn't buy a bite on it. It might have been a confidence isssue though. :-/ Fish it erraticly with short pauses.

Great Job! Up here in NC, an inshore slam is a flounder, speckled trout, and a red. We have tarpon, but not enough to go after them consistantly.

Ive noticed that some fish will hit a jig but not a t-rig and vise versa. I think it has something to do with the bait's profile. When I am sight fishing and get looks but no hits on a t-rig, I will often switch to a jig n' pig and get bit immedietly. Sometimes it is the other way around. Long story short, sometimes the fish prefer the long, skinny proflie, and other times the short, bulky one.

Weird review... 9.00 vs. 9.08 for the Calais, but the Calais didn't get any deduction for being a brick. 9.1ozs!? The TD won with 9.08. The Calais had the 9.0.

That's the same thing that happened to me a few days ago. I must have ran my pointer right through a school of baby bream, because there was one on 3 of the hooks.
