Yes this is my first grandson due in September. The new rods are nice, I got to use them today and I like the action on them better than the old rods, they were worth the additional money to upgrade to them.

You are one great dad doing this for your kids. Those are some wonderful memories and they will last a lifetime.

I like Brett and want him to come back. I think Green Bay forced him off the roster by announcing that he was retiring in a press conference without him present early this year. Then a week later Brett goes before the camera, something smells fishy. Every other pro athlete I have seen retire announces it together with the management from the team and even the owner some times. It is never handled the way that Green Bay did this. Why was it handled this way? I think they decided they no longer wanted Brett. I really hope he ends up on either the Vikings or Bears and he kicks Green Bays behind when they play.

Congrats on the 2.5lb bass, good job working the grass and docks. I agree with you on keeping track of what you are doing out there, you want to remember exactly what you did to catch a fish, it will help you in the future.

Bass Pro repalced mine last night. The only problem was they didn't have the same model rod so I had to upgrade from a BPS Tourney Special 7' MH to a Bionic Blade 7' MH rod. I also had them replace my other rod too because the cork was coming off in chunks so now I have 2 new Bionic Blade fishing rods. I will use them tomorrow for the first time. Hopefully I can feel the difference in the rods since they are twice as expensive.

I just got back from BPS, they took the two rods back no questions asked. I went looking for the replacements and they were out of the Tourney Special 7 foot medium heavy rods. I ended up upgrading to the Bionic Blade 7 foot medium heavy rods. When I mentioned that there were no replacement rods and asked if I could get a discount on the upgraded rods she told me I shouldn't have broken the other rods with a rude tone in her voice. Her bad attitude left me feeling kind of angry. She could have been polite and said sorry sir I can't do that but I guess she must have been in a bad mood due to working on a Friday night. Well I ended up dropping an extra $130 tonight, $60 on the two rods and then $35 on a small tacklebox for my canoe and then a new BPS hat for me and one for my grandson that is due to be born in September. I look forward to trying out the new rods this weekend when my son and I head to Mattawoman Creek and fish the grass mats and pads.

Sam, Originally a Bass Pro Shop was slated to be built at Potomac Mills Mall in Dale City/Woodbridge. The only problem was the Prince William County Supervisors didn't get the deal done and now we have a Cosco instead. I have driven past the new BPS down there and I will be shopping there quite a bit once it is finished. It will be nice to have Dicks in town for picking up baits on sale, we only have wally world and boaters world currently, neither has much of a selection. I bought my canoe from Dicks and saved almost $200 off the price so they have some deals occasionally. My only problem with BPS is I can't control myself in the store, the bait monkey takes advantage of me big time. I will see how bad the bait monkey beats me up tonight as I am headed to BPS in Baltimore to replace two broken rods and possibly buy a third rod while I am there and maybe some more ragetail baits.

They took the truck because it was used to illegally take the moose to their house. Trust me the kids father is still ticked to this day and this happened over 20 years ago. The had no case to take the house but they got the truck when the case went to court.

No problem Jason, I know where to shop for your presents in the future.

I still use the cavitron buzzbaits but the ragetail products seem to catch more bass. Plus I can throw them in areas that I can't throw the cavitron.

Thanks guys, this place always fishes well. It produces lmbs in the 1 to 3.5lb range consistently. I also lost my PB there two weeks ago, it was an easy 7lb lmb.
