Gotta Try the Senkos!
Pumpkinseed performs extremely well for me.

Swimming senko vs senko
Swim senkos work great with weights or weightless. They are my go to plastic because they catch fish and some nice size ones.

Rat-L-Trap
I still use them and have caught some nice bass on them. The one in my avatar was caught on a Knami shad rattle, it was 6lbs 8ozs.

I would think you should be fine with the 10HP. I know I would get a ticket if I used my 25HP.

Leesylvania
I fished there last weekend. White chatterbaits, Manns -1 and swim senkos were the key last weekend. I meant to try the rage tails but completely spaced out and forgot to throw them. We boated 7 keepers above 2lbs, 3 of those 7 were above 3lbs. My big fish for the day went 3.75lbs. You are going to be seeing some windy conditions which means the water will be a little rough. If you want some spots to fish send me a PM. NitroMan, I bought a Diehard Marine Deep Cycle Battery at K-Mart. I bought the most powerful one they had in the store at the time, it has 200 minutes of reserve capacity and 675 cranking amps. The good thing is it is a bargain for the price I paid $109.99 plus tax. It provides enough power to pull my boat around through the toughest winds with no effort at all and it lasts a couple of days on a single charge. This battery is more than powerful enough for places like Fountainhead. I also bought a Diehard deep cycle battery charger for it. You need to make sure you charge the battery back up with a deep cycle charge or you will ruin the battery. I put a link to the battery below. You should be able to buy it at either K-Mart or Sears. No you can't, you will get ticketed if you get caught using your 115 HP gas motor.

Fountain Head
NitroMan, Fountainhead is part of the Occoquan Reservoir, you can get to it via route 123. The reservoir does have some good bass fishing, there are only two drawbacks that I see. The first is they do not have a dock to tie the boat up to when launching or retreiving your boat but they do have a ramp. The second is the max gas motor allowed is a 9.9 HP. However I have seen numerous bass boats launch there. I hope this helps. Ron

First time at Bass Pro Shop
You got out of BPS and only spent $75, I guess the bait monkey must have been on break. I have yet to leave that store for under $300 each and every time I go there. As a result the wife has limited me to 2 to 3 trips a year.

Banjo Minnow Kit
This has been discussed many times. If you do a search you will see that the general opinion is that these are not worth the investment. There are a couple of members that said they did in fact catch fish with them.

Harpers Ferry, WV
My wife wants me to look into a trip to Harpers Ferry to do some fishing one weekend in June for a fathers day gift. I need to coordinate with my son and his wife, I will most likely be looking at the weekend after fathers day. I have a couple of questions and hope I can get some help from members that fish out there. Can I launch my bass boat there or should I plan on using a canoe? Can we catch both smallies and lmbs there? What are some good baits to use? Should I consider a guide service. Has anyone ever used River Riders Guide Service? They charge $350 (for two people) for 8 hours on the water. Thanks for any help you can provide. Ron

Mattawoman Creek
Andy, It sounds like the three of us need to go out to those pads and catch some hawgs real soon. It was a lot of fun last weekend, like I stated earlier we caught 7 nice keepers.

Nice work, it looks like you could start a side business customizing boats with the high quality of work you have done.
