When law enforcement goes too far...

Just last week they were saying it is best not to run and stay in, so my friend Ralph did, that cost him another 9,300 bucks. Ralph is 64 years old and will never see that money come back, he should have been told to take out what he has left, I am no expert I have never been anyone's fool either. They are all too greedy and self serving for me to trust. That advice was not the truth and you do o not have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.- poptarts
Brown Sugar Cinnamon, toasted, with peanut butter on them ;D- Chili time.....
I'm gonna try them all!! Thanks- Motor noise?
It's a Yamaha 50 horse jet. Thanks for the info! I don't expect it to be cheap Like I said, I took it right to the marine shop from the river. They said they would not get to it till December because they are winterizing a lot of boats right now, which is a little better because that is when there winter rates start. It never sounded any different before this?? Doug- Motor noise?
Was out in my boat today and when I went to move the motor started to make a kind of knocking noise and sounded like it was missing on maybe one cylinder? It would idle, but start to make the noise if you gave it gas. Shut it off and used the trolling motor to get back. Took it right to the marine shop. Said it may be a bearing or a rod? Don't know anything about this stuff, but I think it is going to be expensive. Anybody have any ideas. Doug- Oil Prices Plunge!
Yes, but look at our economy :( :(- recarpeting

Got it! Thanks!!- latch/deck lids
Tried typing in "Great Lakes Skipper" and nothing comes up?- latch/deck lids
Does anybody have any places other than BassPro or Cabelas to buy latches for compartments on the decks of your boat. Looking for maybe some different types other than what they have. Thanks, Doug- Class Rings
My Dad didn't want me to get one, said I wouldn't wear it (how right he was!) My Mom talked him into it. The only real reason I wanted it was to give to my girlfriend to wear at the time and the next one and next one and..... Now it has been sitting in my dresser for about 24 years! Been thinking about cashing it in for the gold lately!- Recomendations On New Jet Boat
Might be worth a call. With the economy the way it is, maybe they are slow and it wouldn't be that long. Doug- Recomendations On New Jet Boat
If I had that kind of money to spend on a NICE jet, I would check these guys out http://www.snyderboats.com/default.htm. They have a nice website that explains a lot about them. I've talked to them and you are in there price range for a great jet. They custom build them, strong for the river, just the way you want them laid out. The only negative about them is your probably going to wait till next year to get one from them. But if your not going to get one for the next couple of months, that puts you at almost the end of our fishing season, so you would have the winter also for them to build. I have a yamaha 50 jet on a 16 1/2' Lowe and it moves two of us great, but mine is not real wide. I fish the Susquehanna also up in the Williamsport area. As long as I stay up on plain, I'm ok in 8" of water and no rocks pop up > (could go shallower, but your really pushing it) Just make sure you get a big enough motor. With a boat any bigger than mine, I would definitely go with a 90/65 jet. Doug- Favorite Beer...
Miller High Life Leinenkugels Honey Weiss Saranac Black Forest Corona- On board battery charger
Have had a 2 bank BPS on-board charger for over two years and not one problem. Keep it plugged in 24/7 (except when fishing ;D) Fish once a week faithfully till ice. Your always going to here the bad things about a product, but not always the good IMO. Doug- Motor starts hard...
I'll check those things out also. If the fuel lines were cracked, wouldn't I smell gas or see the leak? Did replace the fuel pump about 3 years ago, but maybe thats it. Will also change out the plugs. Thanks for the tips. Doug- Motor starts hard...
Thanks, I'll start with the plugs. I'll let you know. Doug- Motor starts hard...
This just started to happening. It started fine for the last 3 years. On my boat, the choke is right under the key. It is like a toggle switch, you lift up on it to choke it and let it go for the choke to be off. Doug- Motor starts hard...
Need some advice. I fish once a week in my boat. The first time I try to start my motor (Yamaha 50 horse jet) it starts very hard, have to turn it over for a long time before it starts. Once it starts, it runs great for the rest of the day, even if it is not started for long periods of time, like a couple of hours. Does it need a tune up, spark plugs?? Don't really understand what is going on because it runs great after the first start. Thanks for any help!! Doug- 3 Bank On-board Charger Recommendation
I'm working on 3 years with my BPS 2 bank charger and it stays plugged in 24/7 all year long (as suggested by Way2slow) works great, would buy another. Doug- The loss of a pet/best friend
Sorry to here about your loss. Just last night my sons beagle pup was hit by a car and died. The whole family is a wreak. The dog and my son were always together, slept in his bed with him, slept with me when I worked third shift, never let a animal do that before. Really gonna be missed. Going to be a long next couple of days. Hopefully time will heal. Doug- quicksilver or supertech?
Thank You very much! Doug- quicksilver or supertech?
Way2slow, I hope your still following/reading this post. Like your opinion on things. If I've never decarbed my engine, will it hurt to just start with dumping the 2 oz. in from the start? Does the seafoam disolve the carbon? Guess what I'm getting at is I don't want a chunk of carbon coming off and causing damage if I start out with a strong dose. Thought maybe I should only put in 1 oz. for a while before decarbing. Thank you Doug - The Stock Thread
