  1. If he is correct I guess we should all put them down and not fish them in the grass here on Rayburn and Toledo. He's an idiot.
  2. Yes, I have and it is all good.
  3. I still fish it more than the floro. If you can find it try Berkley Big Game in green.
  4. Check out the Allstar rods if you have not. Also if there is an Academy near you they are on sale for less than 60.00.
  5. If that Revo is right handed I would be interested if you are looking to get rid of it and it is not priced out of sight.
  6. I use water repellant carpet glue from any marine dealer. It will keep it from wrinkling. You can get the high grade carpet from a boat dealer that will last twice as long as the indoor-outdoor stuff and looks a lot nicer. It runs about 10.00 a running foot here in Houston. Makes a nice job that will stay with you.
  7. Seal it with J-B Weld as you tighten it down.
  8. All you guys need to GPS your boats speed. That speed on the 90hp is not right and the high 60s with that 17'9" 150 merc is not right either. The greatest killer of speed is a good GPS. Hate to put a damper on these speed figures, but ya'll are dreaming.
  9. If you offer to teach him to bass fish and after he saw what you did you may have a regular ride in his boat. Good job and the stock tank looks great.
  10. Welcome.
  11. Get out a c-rig or a dd22. They will let you know where the offshore structure is located. Find it and you should find the larger fish.
  12. I believe and have seen the larger females move in and spawn long before anyone realizes. I have personally seen females on a bed in water temps ranging from 55-60 degrees. At least that is what my guages read. I have also seen them spawn in the forks of trees out in the middle of the lake and come in, spawn, and be gone a month before anyone even started looking for them. With the right water clarity and sunlight they will spawn out a lot deeper than most would think. Tons of the fish that many think are prespawners that they are catching are actually females locked on a bed in water deeper than you can see.
  13. Don't watch your frog. It worked for me.
  14. Sweet! I went to BPS yesterday and bought seven packs of them and it was 33.42. Sad fact is each bag only had from 3-5 weights.
  15. Chatterbait. I never caught anything on it but myself.
  16. We have quite a few that are sons to our current members. We have on occasion had a younger person that was a friend of one of our younger members and we required a letter of release from the parents to allow him to fish. Works out well so far.
  17. We still fish 12 and a classic, however, we have moved several closer to home.
  18. Why don't you sit down with the club leadership and voice your concerns before you fly off the handle and make a rash decision that may or maynot be unwarrented? Get all of the info and then make your decision.
  19. Personally, I would check out the smallies north of the border
  20. Never been, always wanted to go. Enjoy and the best of luck.
  21. A state record catch is a dead duck unless the hatchery truck can get here before I leave the water. Actually here in Texas the state will send a truck to pick up any bass caught between 10-1 and 4-30 each year weighing over 13lbs. Soooo, he might survive, just not going back in the water.
  22. Welcome. The bait monkey has your address as soon as you register.
