Lowrance and Navionics Platinum chips
I have not had any problems. If the units are used you might want to go to their site and see if they have been updated. If not that could be a problem. Go to the site and they willl give you directions on how to see if they are running the most updated programming. Can't remember off the top of my head, but I think it will say in your unit that you are running 1.5 or 5.0 and if your unit tells you something else you need to update. JMO

Transom trouble
This is not an easy fix and should not be tried by anyone without the tools, time, and experience to do the job correctly. I had a transmon put in a Skeeter on my son's boat back in 2003 and it was almost $4,000.00. when you get the cap off the boat you are going to find the stringers bad that will also have to be replaced. I do not have the time to type all the materials, tools, and patience you will need to complete the job correctly. If you want or need the info PM me and I will get it to you. Heck here is part of it: Tools: Sawzall, Hammers, Chiesels, prybars, screw drivers, large clamps, grinders, and a thousand more. Materials: Fiberglas matting, And all the materials to lay the glass, someone to lay it if you can't, Paint, Reducer, gallons and gallons of the glass and hardner, and many more Place to disassemble the boat(The cap has to come off), motor off the boat, cut out all the drain openings Material for the transom. It needs to be assembled outside the boat and then glassed into the boat. Cut the stringers away from the rear assuming they are ok(Which they are not). Most important thing when going back together. The new flooring has to be in the boat at the original height or you will not be able to put the cap back on the boat if it is either to high or too low. Many more things have to be done, I am just tired of typing. Good luck Sorry, I forgot: Welcome to the forum

Pegging a weight
I have never peged a weight. I use the small red plastic thingies that you squeeze with pliers that will slide up and down your line. Just squeeze and set the adjustment you want. Just a personal preference.

Spinnerbait Question
You never know what will turn the fish on. Sometimes thinking out of the box and going against the grain will load the boat for you. Let the fish tell you what they want and the only way to know is to try.

what is sight fishing?
Using your eyes to locate a fish(Usually referring to a fish on a bed, but not always), and then attempting to catch it.

Mercury Two Strokes
Jig Man when they talk two stroke they are refering to the type of engine. Two strokes take two engine revolutions to take in fuel, compress, fire the cylinder, and discharege the waste. Then it starts over again.

Catching Bass in a Small Pond
Sunday our church had a function on our new property and it has a small lake of about two acres or a little less. A bunch of children were fishing and caught several small bass on trap like plugs. I rigged up a trick worm and fished about an hour(1:30-2:30) and caught seven nothing of any size but fun. Morale to story youy will be supprised what is living in the smaller, rarely fished waters around the country. We also have a bayou that runs through our neighborhood that in most spots is no wider that 20 ft. I started fishing it last year and have caught bass up to 4lbs. Now most of the kids fish the heck out of it. They to had no idea that fish like that were in that small stream. Surprised the homeowners assoc. also. It's a two minute walk from my front door and I spend lots of late evenings down there. Lots of fun on small SB, and 1/4 oz. traps

Crankbaits in Grass
Keep it at the top where it just ticks the grass and when you start to bury up rip it through. Lipless cranks work the best.

Looking to do this...
I just went on the site reading about the XD shirts and it clearly stated sponsered pros can have their designed shirts by just calling in where they want the logos placed. Did not say about any others but I bet they have an agreement to go ahead and put the logos on for a set fee. Good looking shirts too.

Looking to do this...
I would think that is one way they have in protecting themselves. Anything going through this store probably has a release clause built into the sale. If anyone has purchased one maybe they can tell us what the fine print on the ticket says.
