Lake Fork Plastics?
They are right up there at the top of my list with several others. Great plastics.

Bama
I watched the game. LSU was not lucky enough to stick around. They were good enough to win if the breaks(No pun intended) had gone the other way. As much as I would love to see Bama beat Florida, I don't see it happening. It's tough to win in the SEC with a young quarterback. I'm really surprised they are still unbeaten. Defense has made that happen. I think either of the two will beat Texas. The longhorns have a real trap game(Texas A&M) that can really mess up their season.

Is this site for sale?
With all the headaches I'm sure some days it could be purchased for a song. Good to know there are far more better days than those though. Jack

Looking at buying Yamaha 115 and boat
I thought all 20' boats would carry a higher rating than that. I am not familiar with CC boats though. Good luck.

Cheater (Robby Rose) caught, cuffed and stuffed.
I've been following it very closely. There is a link over there to view the news telecast. If you have not seen it try to do so. I have been spending a lot of time over there following this mess. Waiting for him to get his day in court.

Looking at buying Yamaha 115 and boat
What kind of boat is it? Just make sure it is not under powered, otherwise you will be unhappy with the performance.

hello
He's been here two days and has three post. What did we do? If he gets his money back, I want my deposit if I had to put one up. I think I have passed my probation period, so Glenn, if I have one coming please send it quickly. Kabuki, man if that's a formal request, you might want to brush up on your punctuation. Thanks, Jack

If you go to Lake Conroe
I went this morning and got on the water about 10:00. Found some keeper fish in 10-12' on a brown jig with a Zoom green pumpkin trailer with purple flakes. I was fishing main lake ridges on the south end. Caught a couple of keepers also on a trap yo-yoing it down the side of the same ridges. The trap was gold with a black back and a pink belly. Hope this helps. Remember the lake minimum is 16". Good luck, Jack

Hope so, they took tissue samples and reweighed it and then live released it.

water separator / filter
I put a new Racor on my boat Monday. It was pretty pricy ($102.00 with tax), but it has the glass bowl on the bottom with a drain so you can just glance to see if you have any water. There are a lot of others on the market for half that, but I was just more comfortable with this one. It was a small price to pay to protect my new motor. Good luck, Jack

Well, Well, Well, the cheating incident on Ray Hubbard made the NBC Channel 5 news this evening in Dallas. It's about time, even though they did not mention him by name. Word is Captain Gary Collins is in discussions with the D.A. Gary is a game warden and the commander of Texas Parks and Wildlife in the Dallas area. This is not good news for the person accused of the cheating. Now if they can indict and make the charges stick without a plea deal. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I think I've been using cheap hooks...
I've had no problem over the years catching fish with the ones I have. Think I'll just pass on those; unless of course, I get some freebies. (Fat chance of that).

fav. color rat l trap
Of course you need to know the details to make an accurate selection for a given trip, but there has to be one or two that you generally throw during a given season. Mine are: Spring- Jackal TN/70 in Red Craw The rest of the year- Excalibur XR 50 in sexy shad Exactly. I was hoping the original poster would at least give his location, type of lake, water condition so we could help him pick the colors that would help him on his home waters. He did not see the importance in disclosing that info, so there was no way to pick any colors that might be of help to him. The ones everyone listed will catch fish; however, a very slight color change, size change, and whether it has rattles or not will many times make a huge difference in his catch rate. Jack

Sam Rayburn - assistance requested
I'm still planning on fishing up there Wednesday. Will try to give you an update Wed. night. FYI the lake has come up several feet during the last week. All the grass around to the right is still there you just may not see it. Look for the point that has the fake deer out on it. The grass is all around it and the ditch runs from the back out past the grass. the ditch will be in the middle of the first pocket after the deer. Fish it with buzzbaits, traps, spinnerbaits, Sammys, frogs, and Chug Bugs early. Switch over to plastics after the sun clears the tree tops. With the water on the rise I would think the fish have made a move for the back ends of the ditches, but that's only a guess, you'll just have to check it out and see. Good luck, Jack

Depends on the lake, weather, water clarity, time of year, type of baitfish, etc. Personally I don't fish red hooks. Need more info.

I need HELP
Sounds to me as if the original seller may be willing to work out an agreement with you. At the least they are willing to talk. You will probably be money, time, and regrets ahead if you are willing to meet with them and try to work the situation out to everyone's mutual agreement. You will not help yourself if you go in and try to force them into any thing. You say you are only 2 1/2 hours away. That's not a lot of time when you start figuring all the leg work to visit with an attorney(Many visits), possibly file suit(Many months), time without a boat(No telling how many months), and then what happens if the case is not settled to your satisfaction. Concerning the stated hours on the motor. If it ever went to court it would be a classic case of he said, she said, and no one wins on that. If they are willing to offer another 12 months warranty that probably would make up for the discrepancy on the hours. You have signed a binding contract. If the hours are not spelled out in the paperwork you have absolutely no leg to stand on. Do yourself a favor and try to let the original seller resolve this issue with you. If it can be resolved you will be months, money, and lost fishing time ahead. It's your choice though, good luck however you decide to go. Jack

Need Help From Anyone That Ownes a Houseboat
Well, I have an issue going. Seems none wants to insure a houseboat with a metal hull even though the inspection shows it to be in good shape. Still looking, but we are running out of options. Insurance is required where we want to locate it and I certainly will not spend this kind of money if I cannot get the coverage. Too many things could happen and I don't want to be left holding the bag. There are several hundred boats at this marina and all it takes is one little wiring short or fuel leak to set one off. It would be an amazing fire to watch, but not if yours in line next. LOL.

Cabela's Guidewear vs. BPS 100MPH rain gear
I use the BPS 100mph bibs, jacket, and the inner liner. Never had a problem with them. I will say the jacket is a waste without the inner liner. I tried to run just the outer jacket, but it was obivious that the inner liner was the missing part. If I had to run just one it would be the inner liner instead of the outer jacket with a good rainsuit over it. I'm sure this thread will become a one versus the other with each side claiming that the ones they own are the best.

Abu Garcia Revo Dissasembly
I am anxiously awaiting the post that says you are having problems getting it back together correctly. Good luck, I had to send a lot of them to the repair shop when I first tried to bench my reels. It's a labor of love that will leave you drinking. Each piece MUST go back exactly as it describes or you will end up just buying a replacement. I hope it works for you, I think I still have a few basket cases in a drawer or two. If you stay at it you will figure it out. Good luck, Jack
